Here is what is indisputable!

The founding ideals of America created more prosperity in its first 130 years than any other country had ever experienced up to that point in time.

Lifting people out of poverty in unprecedented ways. Better stated, because people could keep what they earned, wealth was virtually inevitable.

Life expectancy doubled.

Infant mortality rates declined astronomically.

Horse and buggy to flying airplanes.

Slavery would come to a halt.

Prosperity unlike anything the world had ever seen. Today those in the bottom 10% of income brackets in America live better than nearly 100% of those living in third world countries.

The ideals of America are worth defending.

Get government out of the way.

Leave people alone.

Let people keep what they earn.

Freedom!

What else did our founding ideals bring about that are worth noting and defending?

We stopped by Scheel’s in Chandler, AZ last night, and I was struck by a statue of one of America’s greatest heroes, Fredrick Douglass.

A slave who was later liberated was lobbied heavily to travel and speak out against the Constitution and its underlying ideals (and not how men how adulterated those ideals).

Unfortunately for those lobbyists, Douglass could read. He read the documents for himself and, among other things, called the Constitution a “glorious liberty document.”

Many people today, especially some our young people, don’t understand the significance of the American founding. It’s not necessarily their fault. Duping and misleading for some agenda has become common place. It’s our duty and obligation to inform, inspire, and educate.

Great event in Gilbert, AZ last night with so many great Americans concerned about the direction of our country.

We heard from several candidates, including:

We also heard from Hans Van Den Elzen (MCRC Member at Large)

This coming Thursday (May 7) at 7:00 pm, United Patriots has an amazing meeting planned. Mark your calendars and spread the word.

Daniel Keenan is running for U.S. Congress (CD5), and he is squaring off against Sheriff Lamb. Come hear his vision and why he believes he is the better candidate. (Side note: Lamb is coming in June to speak).

In addition, the Arizona legislature needs help to hold the line. We need some real liberty warriors. Two House candidates will be speaking, namely Tyler Farnsworth and Laurin Hendrix (incumbent). Come listen in!

What a great use of force class in St. George, Utah last night.

Thank you to Nikki Stevens, Oscar Fakahua, Cyn Ladd of Gun Owners of America, and U.S. Law Shield for hosting and sponsoring such a fantastic event.

A few years ago, I spoke on a multi-city tour to individuals throughout Peru about the fight for liberty and the methods designed to move a culture towards real liberation. Peruvians are currently in the midst of a battle against communism.

While in Lima, I met hundreds of young people (18-30 years old) from various countries such as Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, etc. In addition, I met dozens who had come from Venezuela to listen. Their story is compelling.

From the wealthiest country in all of Latin America a few decades ago to a country where there aren’t enough garbage cans to eat out of.

And they recognize the cause.

First, a government engaged in shenanigans with their money and resources.

Second, a people that took their freedom and prosperity for granted and who became complacent - who were unwilling to fight for what was rightfully theirs.

Sound familiar?

One thing that struck me as I talked at these gatherings with these Latin Americans who filled these convention halls was their love for liberty and the banner that motivated them to fight, namely our Declaration of Independence.

Yes, our Declaration of Independence!

They read it and understood the self-evident truths contained therein and were willing to fight for those ideals just like so many other revolutions of the past who were inspired by the same. They revered so many of our founders that today many Americans despise.

Last night at a liberty gathering where I spoke in Phoenix, Arizona, I met yet another Venezuelan that brought back a flood of memories.

Julian is on fire for liberty. He recognizes the problem both in America and in his homeland and wants to fight for the right ideals.

Wow!

I am so inspired. Providence is moving. Better days are coming!

Celebrating America’s Birthday and the Self-Evident Truths Upon Which She Was Founded.

Thomas Sowell is a great American who loves liberty, understands free enterprise, and makes no excuses. What a national treasure!

The City of Maricopa Republican Club in Maricopa, AZ held another incredible event this morning. Marty and Brenda Hermanson are simply outstanding leaders. Thank you so much for the invitation to speak!

Also speaking were Nicolas Yendrzeski, a 19-year old running running for school board. Boy, was he impressive.

Maricopa Vice Mayor Vincent Manfredi also spoke. It was great to hear his vision for the city.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas gave a phenomenal speech at the University of Texas on the brilliance of the Declaration of Independence and why it must be defended at all costs.

Quoting Calvin Coolidge, he noted, “If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with inalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people.”
