Discount Solar Screens

A quick reminder - when the wind blows it may catch a screen if the clips are left loose. When clips are properly secured screens cannot and will not blow away. If windows have been washed or screens have ever been removed it is a good idea to check the clips and make sure they are all secure. Recently someone asked me why clips are sometimes "too tight." I explained that clips should not move until a screwdriver is used to loosen them, that is the insurance to keep screens safe. We don't see a lot of wheels coming off cars, because when lug nuts are properly torqued they do not come loose. It is the same with screen clips, when they are properly secured they do not come loose. I can attest to that after 18 years and many thousands of screens installed, it is easy to see where clips have been left loose. Unfortunately many window washers or other workers do not take it as seriously as they should - because they are not always the ones called when a screen blows off. Secure those clips!
