When you and your sibling are graduating the same year, you absolutely need to have your session together! Katelyn and Jacob, CONGRATULATIONS! What an incredible pair of siblings. I'm so excited for you guys! Thank you for choosing me to document this milestone. It was so much fun working with you!

At Emily's incredible session we celebrated her successes on the bike as well as academically. Emily is so incredible. If you know her, you know her drive and grit. She's an incredible mountain biker as well as a wonderful human being. She's going far in this world, and I'm lucky to say "I knew her when." Congratulations, Emily, and thank you for choosing me to document this milestone!

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! I hope you feel appreciated every day, but extra special today! Here's our #1 dad! We love you!

Gorgeous Addison's session! What a beautiful evening on the river! PLEASE DO bring your paddleboard to your session (and your dad to air it up!). I've gotten to know Addison's family over the years, and I was beyond honored when her mom reached out to document her graduating a whole year EARLY! Congratulations, Addison! You are so beautiful inside and out!

Next up in my belated senior recap from 2026 is Stone! Wow. What a great guy. Great family. Loved meeting them this past year through the cycling community. You know it's going to be an amazing session when he literally rides into it on his enduro bike, much to the amazement of bystanders on the Salt River. We had a blast. Super chill, great sense of style, very relaxed. But also ripping down a mountain in a cap and gown for the money shot. Stone's mom is officially the expert at attaching a graduation cap to a mountain bike helmet. Zip ties and safety pins are the secret.
I love Stone's quiet energy and am so excited for him for his next chapter of adventures at NAU. Congratulations on your graduation! Thank you for choosing me to capture this milestone! And see ya on the trails!

Moms on Bikes! These are some tough mothers.....
If you didn't know, now you do: I volunteer with local youth mountain biking teams as well as the Arizona NICA program , and helping empower females on bikes is really a rad part of that endeavor. Usually we are working with female youth athletes with the GRiT (Girls Riding Together) program, but this winter, our state league brought in some amazing female coaches to work with our moms. .mcmilly
As many moms know, it's great to support your kids in their sports by being their taxi service, providing healthy meals, making sure the water bottles are full and no one forgets anything, but taking it to another level....moms can also support their youth athletes by BEING ON BIKES themselves. Riding bikes is not only a great way to get outside and move your body, it builds confidence and does all sorts of great stuff for your brain. Trust me on that one, my friend told me this morning all about a bike-brain study while we were on our bike ride together. (back me up, Cindy!)
My favorite part of riding bikes? COMMUNITY! There's nothing like some "girl time" on bikes.
It might be a zillion degrees outside, but we can still get out and ride!
So here is a bit of a peek into the AZ NICA Moms on Bikes workshop from earlier this year. Not traditional portraits, but some of my favorites!

First of all, I love this family so, so much.
Second, Mom did an incredible job with styling this session. She made it look effortless and like it was totally no big deal. But she rocked it. These dresses are out of this world.
Third, I absolutely, positively LOVE getting to do family sessions and senior sessions together. This one was one for the record books. We did so many outfit changes that my head was spinning, but all lists were checked off and I can't be happier for everything we were able to capture, squeezing out every bit of sunshine we could get!
So....takeaways.... family + senior sessions for the win!

Now that we are in the summer and the pace of life has slowed down (maybe) just a little bit, I'm catching up on posting everything from the past year. It's my birthday resolution (because New Year's Resolutions just don't always stick--I'm trying to reboot midyear) to get my photography page organized and updated! I realized Will's post earlier in the year had some formatting issues, so he's getting a new post! Will highlights some of my main guy-session top tips:
1. Bring your car. A classic Jaguar makes it oh so fun. Or dirt bike, mountain bike, OHV, horse. You know...the thing you are into
2. Wearing a t-shirt and jeans is 100% okay. You're comfortable and you look good when you're comfortable.
3. If you wear a suit, you won't regret it.
I loved this session so much, and it was a great way to kick off my senior season for 2026. I can't wait to catch everyone up on these amazing seniors!

Prom 2026! What a fun group to get to work with! I've been so lucky to get to work with several of these kiddos over the years for different dances and even senior portraits. I was honestly honored to take their prom pics! We braved quite possibly the most crowded location I've ever seen (and you can't even tell), and it worked out great! The future is so bright with this group!

Congratulations, Class of 2026! What an incredible group of young men and women heading out into the world! Whether we commemorated a high school, college, or graduate school graduation, each milestone is remarkable! It was a delight getting to work with each of you and best of luck on your future endeavors (I'm always here if you need more portraits!)
