What a fun way to end the year! Thank you Kids Express staff for making it a cool end of the year for our students

Rice’s kindergarten classes lit up the stage during their end-of-the-year performance as they celebrated all of their amazing growth, learning, and achievements from this school year! Our little performers sang their hearts out and brought so many smiles to the audience.

The program ended with a touching performance of “You Are My Sunshine” dedicated to Principal Mathew as she prepares for retirement this year. It was a beautiful tribute filled with love, gratitude, and sunshine for someone who has made such a lasting impact on our school community. 💙🎓💚

Today’s Teachers vs. 6th Graders Hula Hut game was a success! 🌴☀️
There was lots of laughter, teamwork, and just a little friendly competition. The 6th graders brought the energy, and the teachers definitely came ready to play too! Thank you to everyone who helped make today so much fun for our students as we wrap up the school year. 🎉

Our school was full of role reversals and laughter today as students dressed like teachers and teachers dressed like students! 🤩 From mini “teachers” leading the way to staff rocking their best student style, the fun and creativity were nonstop. It was a day full of smiles, giggles, and unforgettable memories for everyone! 🎉📚✨

Last day of PE for the year and we’re going strong, ending with some teamwork building exercises. First grade shared responsibilities to build their hula huts the fastest. Everyone had a blast with smiles all around!

Water Day — one of the most anticipated days of the year — made a HUGE splash in Mrs. Skorski’s and Mrs. Tanzer’s classes! 💦☀️ From buckets of fun to nonstop giggles, students had an unforgettable time cooling off, playing with friends, and making amazing end-of-year memories together! 🩵😄

We had an amazing time celebrating our Weinberg Wranglers today! 🎉🤠

Our seniors were honored with a special Cap and Gown Clapout! 🎓✨ It was such a memorable moment as they walked the halls one more time and reunited with some of their former teachers along the way. Seeing all the smiles, hugs, and excitement made the day extra special!

We are so proud of our seniors and can’t wait to see all the incredible things they accomplish in the future! 💙

Our 5th grade students got cooking with Chef Tess Collins during The Growing Chef experience! Students learned hands-on kitchen skills while creating a delicious Crispy Bean Tostada topped with fresh and crunchy jicama slaw. We loved seeing our students try new foods and shine as young chefs!

At Rice, our students practice being inclusive every single day and now we are extending that same kindness to one very special mama and her babies 🐣🤍

Over Mother’s Day weekend, our garden became home to a nesting nighthawk mama and her newly hatched chicks! Mrs. Folgeman has done an incredible job helping keep them safe, calm, and welcomed in our garden space while teaching students the importance of respecting wildlife.

These babies will stay for about 3 weeks while mama teaches them how to hunt and fly on their own. If you stop by to peek at them, please remember we must stay extra quiet and never cross the caution tape so they continue to feel safe here at Rice.💚💙

Our Rice Elementary talent show was filled with so much amazing talent, creativity, and confidence from our students! We loved watching everyone shine and share their unique gifts with the school. 🌟
