Week 52: Wesley’s General Store Ad

This week I created a design for a made up general store using Adobe Firefly to create the image of the store building and then I added all the other elements around it to give it an old western feel. This design was created in Adobe Photoshop.

This now marks the final week of the 2023 design challenge I set for myself at the beginning of the year. I told myself I wanted to create a new design every week for a year straight and I accomplished just that. It makes me proud of myself that I stuck along with it, even when there were some weeks that I just didn’t want to, I pushed myself and accomplished my goal. Now I have 52 different portfolio worthy design at my disposal and I couldn’t be happier with how the year turn out. I learn something new in every design I do and that’s the fun of graphic design. Happy new year everyone and we will just have to see where 2024 takes us 🙌🏻

Week 51: Lamborghini Blueprint Design

This week I created a design that I wanted to look like it was drawn out with a blue ball point pen and look like building blueprints. I chose to make it a fancy house with different Lamborghinis parked out front. I added the logo, slogan and the founder of Lamborghinis signature on the design as well. This design was created in Adobe Photoshop.

Week 50: Off-White Ad

This week I created an Off-White advertisement using Adobe Photoshop. I used different techniques to try and get the feel of an actual advertisement from the brand. I have Virgil Abloh, creator of the brand, as the foreground and used the Mercedes Benz G Wagon concept created by him for the background.

Week 49: The Grind Coffee Shop Business Set

This week I created a business set for the made up company I created a logo for last week. The business set includes a tee shirt, coffee mug/tumbler, a postcard mailer, business cards, and a letterhead. These designs were created in all three of the major Adobe programs, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

This week I created a logo design for a made up coffee shop called The Grind for a school project. The “G” in grind is meant to resemble a coffee maker with drops of coffee coming down and forming steam. This design was created in Adobe Illustrator.

This week I created a Juice WRLD tee compiled of all of this different album artworks. RIP Jarad Higgins you will forever be missed and your music will be bumped for eternity. This design was created in Adobe Photoshop.

This week I created a logo design for a made up brand called TerraTech. I took inspiration from the classic Nintendo 64 logo. I took a isometric grid and used the shape builder tool to combine different parts of the grid to make this 3D looking cube that had Ts for sides. This design was created in Adobe Illustrator.

This week I created a Kiss concert poster for a school project. The bands final live world tour is happening now so I thought it would be a good opportunity to make a poster for it. This design was created in Adobe Photoshop.

This week I added some touches to this photo by Joe Rondone who is a photo journalist from AZ Central. The man photographed is Mike Dreckman who was wearing his same Dbacks jersey from the 2001 World Series that’s he’s never washed. This design was created in Adobe Photoshop.

Week 42: Korn x Adidas Collection Ad

This week I created an advertisement for the Korn x Adidas collection that is dropping on October 27th. I printed 2 copies of this design out and took one of the copies and tore different pieces off to overlay them over the original artwork. I then scanned the design back to the computer and added color where it was needed. This design was created in Adobe Photoshop.
