One Small Step will be CLOSED to install new flooring — no services, no donation drop-offs while crews are on-site.

For the past four years, settling and cracking have left parts of our building down to bare concrete — a real tripping hazard for our volunteers and the ~14,000 client visits we see every year. We finally found a crew ready to fix it right (and grind out the cracks for good), and it's happening now.

Consider asking around for a few good donations this week! We could use gently used athletic shoes for all ages and gently used sheets! Sheets do not have to be matching sets. Bring by some kindness today! Donations Monday-Thursday 10-3pm and Thursday 4-7pm.

We need YOU on Thursday afternoons — and trust us, it's the best 3 hours of your week.

Clothes Cabin is looking for 2–3 volunteers to join our Thursday afternoon crew — and if you've ever wanted to do something that actually makes a difference, this is it.

Here's what a Thursday looks like: you roll in at 3:50, the doors open at 4, and from there? It's go time. You're greeting neighbors, helping families find the perfect outfit, checking people in, bagging clothing, and contributing to one of the most upbeat, welcoming rooms in Gilbert. We close services at 7pm and wrap up by 7:15 — and you'll leave every single week knowing you did something real.

If front-of-house isn't your thing, we've got a spot for you too — hang and tag donations, stock the shopping floor, and keep the magic running behind the scenes.

What we're looking for:
✅ Friendly, helpful, and kind (the essentials)
✅ Reliable — we ask for one shift per week for a year because consistency matters to our programs
✅ Spanish-speaking? Big bonus — but absolutely not required
✅ Life happens — planned vacations and absences are totally fine

Thursday afternoons are our busiest shift. That means more people served, more energy in the room, and more of those moments where someone walks out with a bag full of clothes and a smile that'll stick with you. You'll see genuine relief and gratitude every single week. It never gets old.

We are seeking dependable community members who are passionate about serving others and can commit to volunteering once per week. Open roles include:

✨ Client-Facing / Service Volunteers
Assist families and individuals, help create a welcoming environment, and work our check-in and check-out desk.

📦 Processing & Stocking Volunteers
Restock supplies, and help keep our programs running smoothly behind the scenes.

As a smaller nonprofit, consistent volunteers make a huge impact and help us provide reliable, dignified support to our community.

We are currently collecting donations of travel-size hygiene items for individuals and families in need. Full-size items are welcome too!

Needed items include:
• Shampoo & conditioner
• Toothbrushes & toothpaste
• Deodorant

Every donation helps provide dignity, comfort, and care to someone facing difficult circumstances. Donations can be dropped off at One Small Step Monday-Thursday 10am-2pm and Thursdays 4-7pm.
