I still remember the first time I drank. I loved it. And honestly, I still do lol
For a long time, I genuinely thought drinking didn't affect me.
But somewhere along the way, I started noticing things.
My motivation started to dip, and anxiety crept in for no clear reason.
I started paying attention. Tracking how I felt, how driven I was, how clear my head was.
The version of me I actually liked started to fade when I drank too much.
Now, the easy advice is "just quit." But for me, that misses the point.
For me, a drink here and there genuinely adds something.
It helps me loosen up, connect with people, and step away from the grind.
The problem was never the drink itself. It was not respecting the trade-off.
Because that's what alcohol really is: a trade-off.
Manage it, and it can add to your life.
Ignore it, and it slowly takes more than it gives.
