The Mermaid's Key

I haven't posted in a while but have done some custom pieces on request. I recently moved and am excited to set up a beautiful space to bead so I can get back to my creative passion. I can hear the beads calling from their boxes. 😄 I'll be sure to keep you all updated!

Here is my finished re-designed bracelet. Thanks to Wynwoods Gallery & Studio for having a beautiful bead booth to shop, and thanks to Pam at Bello Modo for sharing my table while I created.

I took a class today at Sew Expo making this bracelet. The beads came in a kit, and the colors looked very different in their little bags. 2.5 hours into the class, I'm nearly finished... and I really don't like it. The colors just aren't me, and I'm realising that I'm not a fan of the spiky thorn beads. Not wanting to completely chuck it out, or finish it and hide it away somewhere, I head out to the vendor booths pick out a few replacements. I can't wait to share with you my thoughts on redesigning this piece!! Stay tuned!
