Sound Dog Connection

Check out Huckleberry. He is just beginning his K9 Nose Work journey. Looks simple but there is so much going on here. Building a strong foundation so that Huckleberry can play for the rest of his life. Also offering him total control of how he approaches the search for treats and his human is sitting down just watching and he does all the work independently.

Ever wonder what a Silver Sniffer is? Meet the queen of them. Esse searching for a birch hide, staying busy active at 12 years young.

Join us to explore the new game of Mantrailing! First in the PNW at Sound Dog. Another way for your dog to show off their sniffing powers.

Meet Jenny! This is a brief video from a longer search. Jenny began life as a laboratory dog....not a great start BUT now she has a loving supportive home. She started nose work to help her confidence. She used to be reluctant to get in or out of the car and any beep sound freaks her out. Note her humans are sitting down and Jenny is moving all around the space looking for the "hide". When she finds it there is a struggle to get the treat off the bench and her mom helps. This is what I would label working independently. Note her tail set, neutral for her vs tucked. She even wagged the tail several times. This is a really big moment for her and the humans in the room were all smiles. This game is helping Jenny not just during sessions but in her daily life...she is able to jump in and out of the car and her own and move through life with less caution.
