Part of TravelChair's Built for Good background is good purpose. Our purpose is to inspire others to spend more time outside and help our community along the way. One way to do that is to recycle; recycling decreases waste in our landfills and energy that the manufacturing process takes.

A main barrier to recycling is understanding the proper usage and process. The Student Conservation Association bring us tips to help us recycle more efficiently and effectively:

-Make sure it’s clean! One single dirty product can contaminate an entire bale. It can ultimately cause recyclable items to get redirected into a landfill.

-Flatten cardboard. This will save space in your bin and make room for more recycling.

-Set up designated recycling containers at home, work, and school.

-Look for products made out of recycled materials when you shop. (See Repreve Line, as seen in this photo 😍)

-Identify which types of plastic your building and neighborhood will accept.

-Before you recycle, think about reducing your waste and re-using items in a new way.

-Spread the word! Encourage others to recycle with you.

Be sure to check with your local disposal service office for other tips, as they may change city to city. Happy recycling!
