Finally dried out enough to put the flooring in the dairy tent.
Well because people suck, we have a new baby emu. Meet Stanley (gender unknown at this time). Stanley was found running a 4 lane 70 mph high traffic road. Fortunately Ginger Christian was kind enough to save him before he was hit by a car. Stanley is very under weight but was very happy to have proper emu food in front of him and immediately went to eating. I will never understand people who dump an animal. Grow up and be responsible humans. This animal didn’t just magically show up at your house. You went out and purchased it, got it or whatever. It was you’re responsibly. Did you really think this animal could survive as a baby in Texas in the wild. I just can’t 😤. At any rate welcome home Stanley. No doubt you will fit right in with our other 3 chicks from this year Ziggy, Ken, and Barbie.

This is Buddy he is a DNA sexed male emu who turned 1 year old this spring. We have had him since he was a chick. Buddy was ment to be a mate to our female but unfortunately he is not breeding quality due to an irregular beak. It causes him no issue at all but he should not be used for breeding.
