Location! Location! Location! Giddings is a great stop-over after making it through Houston, if you are headed west, or after passing through Austin, if you are headed east. It is a great "base camp" for a number of adventures within our city, but also other central Texas small-town sights and activities! (Round Top, La Grange, Smithville, Lexington). Spend the 4th of July in Giddings! The celebration kicks off on Friday night with a street dance and the Grimes Street Music Fest! Giddings Volunteer Fire Department will be selling BBQ and will provide fireworks on Sunday. Lee County Sheriff's Posse will present the annual Fury On The 4th Bull Riding event. Giddings RV Park is situated within two miles of both venues, the Lee County Courthouse and the Lee County Sheriff's Posse.
