I rarely post about my brush calligraphy for some reason, but I definitely still do it! These save the dates went out last month for a client and I (thankfully) remembered to snap a pic before getting them out.

Wait, how did I never post the process of the logo? I guess I was probably a little busy drawing the animals? Here is the final sketch of the logo, before I vectorized it. Do you want to see a version that didn't make the cut? 📸:

Some behind the scenes of my in-progress font - scans from my notebook! I always sketch by hand then scan in my work and trace the letterforms from my sketches directly.

A little sneak peak from the other project I worked on all summer! I was fortunate enough to take 's Display Type class through . I learned SO MUCH during the 10 short weeks of class and made a lot of wonderful connections with other insanely talented designers. I'm still working on this typeface but am very proud of how far it's come so far!

How is it September already? Does anyone else feel like this summer flew by?

August slipped away… it’s honestly been a CRAZY summer, (which after last summer is awesome). But I definitely don’t want to stop taking time for myself with the little things like these cover pages which I truly enjoy making. So here’s my August spread on the last day of August 😅
