Backyard weddings are the best.

I always love the getting ready portion of the day. Hanging out with friends and family, feeling the excitement build, and realizing that it's just the start to a day you've been planning for months.

There’s a special calm that comes with being in a familiar, meaningful space on your wedding morning. It helps settle the nerves and makes the whole experience feel more relaxed and authentic.
I love capturing those real, shared moments between two people in the home they already live life in. It just feels right.

This first look in Erika & Ashley's home (which is soo cute!) was one of my favorites. It started down-pouring a few minutes before their first look, so we opted to keep it inside. I'm so glad we did!
