What a great night at one of the best live music venues in downtown Gettysburg PA! Ploughman Cider Taproom books some of the area's finest musicians & it's a pleasure to perform on their stage. The Taproom was filled & the energy in the audience was incredible! Special Thanks must go out to our guest performer Cindy Samet for sharing her amazing finger-style guitar as well as Courtney for slinging those awesome drinks & taking care of everyone. We'll be back at Ploughman for our last public show of the year on Friday, December 4th. It's gonna be Epic!

Personal Post from Cori
Unabridged & Heartfelt

"When Every Note Counts"

There’s just something different about acoustic rock when it’s real.

No layers to hide behind. No overproduction. No tricks. Just wood, strings, and whatever the player brings to it that day. When it’s done right, you feel it more than you hear it.

That’s where Poppa Rick lives.

He has this way of playing where nothing feels wasted. Every strum lands like it’s supposed to be there.

Acoustic rock needs that balance of grit and restraint, strength and space. And he carries both without trying too hard to prove anything.

Sometimes when we’re playing, it honestly sounds fuller than it should. Like there’s another guitar tucked in somewhere. But there isn’t. It’s just him—filling space in a way that’s hard to explain unless you’ve stood in the room and felt it.

When Jeremiah and I step in vocally, we’re not trying to fight for space. We’re stepping into something that’s already been built. There’s a foundation under us—steady, warm, alive—and it lets us do what we do without forcing it.

That’s what makes this whole thing feel like more than just music.

It’s connection.

Poppa Rick isn’t chasing perfection in the flashy sense. He’s chasing something more honest. He takes the songs we cover and strips them back to where they probably started—before the layers, before the production—and somehow makes them feel both familiar and brand new at the same time.

And the truth is, that kind of sound doesn’t come from technique alone.

It comes from life.

At 74, he’s lived enough to play differently. You can hear it. There’s strength in the rhythm, patience in the pauses, and a kind of emotion that doesn’t need to be forced. It just shows up.

Athletics, business, family, fatherhood, grand-fatherhood, it’s all in there somewhere. Not in an obvious way, but in the feel of it. In the way he holds a song together.

His love for family. His love for country. His story.

It all comes through the guitar.

What we have together doesn’t feel like a typical band dynamic. It feels like something being passed down and built forward at the same time.

He brings the roots.

We bring the lift.

And somewhere in the middle, it turns into something that feels… lasting.

He really is the root note for us. The part you might not always focus on, but the part everything depends on. Take it away, and the whole thing changes.

We don’t take that lightly.

We’re grateful for him—not just for what he plays, but for what he carries into the room every time he picks up that guitar.

Because in a world that’s loud and layered and constantly trying to impress…

he reminds us to keep it simple.

Play it honest.

Mean what you play.

Because when you do...

Every Note Counts!

This old sandwich board in front of our stage has history with us. It's patina is well earned & although it isn't flashy we prefer it that way because we feel that exceptional music performed live is the best advertisement!

*Stay tuned for some very cool announcements coming next week!

Redemption Road Update...
FYI...Cori completely took over our music rehearsal today & put Jeremiah & I through the grind instructing us on what songs we were going to review & exactly how we were going to construct them. By the time we finished her “Boot Camp Session” we needed to sit down & catch our breath. That's when she took this picture of us & then added a special lighted stage background. Jeremiah said he thinks that's her way of saying we did a good job without actually saying we did a good job. Since he's been married to her for 25 years I'm gonna take his word for it!

The event room is separate from the bar area but it was packed & the audience was an absolute blast. Sincere Thanks to all the wonderful people who took the time to come out to be with us & a Big Shout out to the manager Noell who brought in extra tables to help with the overflow. Thank You all so much for supporting live music!

Hey Everyone, Poppa Rick here from Redemption Road! I'd like to take a moment & tell you how Blessed I am to perform on stage with Cori & Jeremiah all these years. It's been an absolute pleasure & at times a challenging task to accompany those two magnificent voices with just one acoustic guitar. If you've ever been to our concerts one of the first things you'll notice about Cori & Jeremiah is their remarkable vocal power, exceptional range & God given talent. That's what we've built our brand on & why we're geared more as an intimate after dinner show with a listening audience. We made the decision early on to keep our music authentic, stripped down & completely raw with minimal instrumentation. Our primary goal was to reveal the primal unfiltered human element in our live music renditions & let the people experience the true beauty in its simplicity! Something we feel has been lost to some degree in today's music industry. What we didn't realize when we first decided to commit to this unvarnished style of music was how much joy & love we'd receive from the people we've had the privilege to meet along the way. That was the real reward because we couldn't do it without you. Thank You all so much for your support!
