Hello S.A.F.E. Friends,

This is an announcement regarding the present and future of S.A.F.E.

S.A.F.E. has been running for almost two years now, and we’ve made quite a few good memories and had some spectacular triumphs in that time. We’ve been gifted with the chance to meet and bring together a wonderful bunch of people, and have formed many connections. Hopefully those connections will continue to form; remember that you are NEVER alone.

For now, we the S.A.F.E. executives have decided that this club needs to go dormant for a little while. The world has been faced with unprecedented circumstances this year, and as we would encourage everyone to do too, we must make sure we’re still taking care of our health and happiness. We truly love this club, what it stands for, and everyone in it. That hasn’t changed one bit. We just need to make sure we’re personally handling things as they are, and in order to healthily do so we need to take a step back.

As president, vice president, and secretary of this club, we’ll be stepping down. That means all S.A.F.E. officer positions will be open and ready to be filled. If anyone is interested in being new leadership for the club, please don’t hesitate to let us know. As mentioned before, this is not the permanent end to S.A.F.E.; the club will be waiting and ready for another set of executives. If you are interested in being a new officer, please email us at [email protected].

I, Jadeyn, will continue to monitor the S.A.F.E. email and social media pages until further notice. I will cease being an officer after this, but I may still post resources or content here and on Instagram. Please don’t hesitate to post or comment resources or LGBTQIA+ opportunities on this page, as it will remain open. Our Facebook Messenger will also remain open to any comments or ideas.

Thank you so much to everyone who has come to our meetings, held a presentation for our members, or supported us. We are deeply grateful to you all. We hope everyone finds health and happiness in this strange time.

You’re beautiful and wonderful just the way you are, you are not alone, and we love you. ❤️
