Love scrapbooking? Keeping records? Telling stories? Then you may be the perfect historian for the Friends of the Adams County Library! We are looking for someone to fill that role in the upcoming year. Email [email protected] with historian in the subject line.

The bookstore is open from 1:30 to 4:30 on Sundays so stop by for these and other goodies! And all week long with evening hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Stopping by the FOL bookstore after vacation is like walking down to your garden and seeing delicious veggies everywhere. We have some great books and videos for you all to enjoy. Stay tuned to these pages over the weekend for the yummy reads in store!

Hip hip hooray for the Big Bonanza Book Sale!!! Not only did hundreds of people go home with lots of good reads and more, but the Friends also brought in $36,000 for the library, selling approximately 35,000 books. To all the volunteers, we say thank you!! And thank you, Redding Auction Services, for the venue.

We hope you will mark your calendars for the last meeting of 2026! It's a great chance to find out what board members do and ways to be involved. No commitment necessary.

Library Card Sign-up Month September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries nationwide join together to remind parents, caregivers and students that signing up for a library card is the first step towards academic achievement and lifelong learning.
