Copper Kettle Farms

Hostas are coming up. We're thinking of splitting some of them to start transplanting around fencelines on the farm. But at this stage they look like alien claws coming out of the ground.

My sister came up today to help clear some of the garden beds. She had an audience.

Now that it's February and we're reaching the end of winter and the beginning of spring, what do we do for the garden?

Gardening is technically a year-round activity, but February is when we really start the fun stuff.

Here's what to start looking at in our 6b zone :) Also, if you're not in our zone, but one that's close, these things are still fine. Zones are mainly for guidelines, but cannot be exact.

Not sure what to do with your Christmas tree? Turn them into goat treats!

If your tree has not been sprayed with pesticides or had tinsel, we'll take them! We've been featured on Fox43 and the Wall Street Journal about our Christmas tree recycling program with goats!

We apologize we've been out of eggs for an extended period of time. The chickens are still molting which means all of their energy is going into growing back their feathers instead of laying eggs. We will definitely post when we have some in stock again
