We started our apiary in the spring of 2020. This has led to us selling local honey products.

Brood check ✅
Our The Hive Mind | Primal Bee experiment is underway, and we’re already seeing healthy brood on the frames! 🐝
So far, so good—we’re excited to see how this hive develops over the season.

🐝 What I thought was a swarm… turned into something bigger! 🐝

A family member called and asked us to come by and check on what we thought was a swarm of honey bees…
Turns out, they had already made themselves at home—inside the wall of the house. 😳
Just another day here at Fox Farms—where you never know what you’re going to run into.

Always learning, always working with nature, and always an adventure!

🐝 Last weekend was a busy one at Fox Farms! 🐝
We checked all of our new packages and were happy to see the queens were accepted and laying strong. We also went through all of our splits to check for cells—and even managed to make some Fox Farms t‑shirts for the crew 😂
This weekend we’ll be making more splits in preparation for the queens arriving on Thursday, along with building a few fume boards as we get ready to start removing supers in a few weeks.
The season is moving fast, and the bees are keeping us busy! 🍯🌼

Spring work in full swing at Fox Farms! 🌼
This weekend we’re adding supers to our hives—giving our bees more room as they bring in fresh nectar and build up for the season ahead.
Busy bees, sweet days ahead! 🐝✨

Big day at Fox Farms! 🐝🍯

We installed four new packages of Carniolan honey bees today, all settling into their hives in the bee yard right here at our home apiary. Jennifer Livingston Fox came along for the adventure to pick up the packages at the post office, and everyone made it home safely in the back of the car.

These bees were purchased from HillCo, LLC Beekeeping Equipment Supplier, and we’re excited to watch these colonies grow and thrive this season. Nothing beats the sound and energy of new bees finding their home!

"Something is buzzing! 🐝 Jennifer Livingston Fox joined me in the bee yard for the first time today. We didn't get 'un-bee-lievably' deep into the hives yet, but it was a great start. Taking it one step at a time until she's the Queen Bee of the yard! 👑🍯 "
