Not as exciting a video as I thought. We will work on it for next time. Bottom line, we all need to plant more trees. Thank you Lions club for providing the food and to the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay for the trees and the guidance.

Pa. high court in ballot ruling ‘did not side with voters:’ Gov. Shapiro 09/16/2024

I’m not a fan of this ruling. The date on the envelope has nothing to do with voter intent. This will result is some ballots not being counted. I’m especially concerned for senior voters, who may forget or put the wrong date on the envelope. When ballots are received at the elections office, the envelopes are time and date stamped. That is the date that matters.

Anyhow, tell your mail-in -ballot friends to make sure they READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!

The FCC Now Says Broadband Speed Should Be at Least 100 Mbps 03/18/2024

https://www.wired.com/story/fcc-broadband-speed-100mbps/

Check out this update from the FCC. The new definition for minimum broadband speeds has increased to 20 Mbps upload and 100 Mbps download. The previous acceptable levels were 3 Mbps upload and 25 download. Let's hope that the providers, public sector, and federal funding result in more of us actually having these new speeds!

The FCC Now Says Broadband Speed Should Be at Least 100 Mbps The old broadband standard of 25 Mbps wasn’t cutting it anymore.

In case you missed the full page ad in the local paper today from the Adams County Council of Republican Women, here it is. As a candidate, having been attacked by untrue and misleading ads, I thought I would take some time to add some light to this subject.

1. The poor disclaimer. The Adams County Council of Republican Women is absolutely affiliated with the Adams County Republican Committee. Their overlapping membership is obvious to anyone, who cares to look.

2. I cannot speak to each allegation, but I did hear the same claims on Election Day last year. What was left out of this article is that the potential violations were in regards to dueling Republican candidates running for the Gettysburg Area School Board. This was Republican vs Republicans.

3. It is interesting that this is only now coming up. To my knowledge, DA Sinnett has never seriously investigated election violations. So why now?

4. It is no secret that Martha Obryant is still upset about having lost her school board race. She also happens to be a lead player in the Council of Republican Women. Coincidence? I think not.

One thing not clear to me is why Adams County Republican leadership is airing their dirty laundry in public. This is not about overall election interference. This is about a specific race, specific candidates, and specific volunteers. To attempt to frame all future elections as invalid over claims, not proof, of election interference is ridiculous and in this heated election climate this kind of misleading bu****it can be dangerous.

I highly suggest that Republican leadership do two things. Make the DA follow up on all allegations of election violations and keep your dirty laundry inside your house.
