A recent third-party efficiency audit on the district's spending showed that 58.8% of GISD's budget is spent on classroom learning. That's $7.1M more than peer districts across the state.
Only 2.3% of GISD's budget goes into district administration compared to the state average of 3.1%. That's over $1M less spent on administration than districts our size.

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
Campuses across GISD are honoring the culture and contributions of Hispanic communities with Bilingual Book Read-Alouds, community events and more.
While bonds fund long-term construction projects, VATRE funds go to day-to-day district operations, including staff salaries and classroom utilities.
Funds from Georgetown ISD Prop A would go directly to Maintaining a Balanced Budget, Preserving Student Programs and Increasing Staff Compensation.
