Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and stories are woven into the history we preserve and share. This Memorial Day, we reflect with gratitude and remembrance.

Experience Georgetown’s Original Ghost Tour! Take a historically accurate one hour walk through the legends, haunts, and spirits of Downtown Georgetown. Grab your friends for a haunted First Friday on the Square. Tours meet at the museum. Tickets may be purchased online at www.williamsonmuseum.org or at the door. First-come, first served, limited to 20 people per tour. Tour will run rain or shine. Subject to cancellation during severe weather.

Join us at The Williamson Museum for Storytime with Jordan Patterson on May 30th at 10am. She will read her book “A True Bohemian Princess.” We will celebrate with crafts fit for royalty! Georgetown’s historical markers will come to life in downtown Georgetown from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday May 16th. Join The Williamson Museum to stroll around and meet the characters who helped shape our city! This is a free event. Chris Woolsey, known online as ChrisRestores, is coming to Salon at Wildfire!

Join us for his presentation Tricked Into Learning: An Engaging Effort, an evening exploring Texas history, historical marker restoration, travel, storytelling, and the unexpected path that led Chris from corporate life into preserving Texas history online. From restoring historical markers across the state to building an authentic online community around history and preservation, Chris will share the challenges, successes, and stories behind his work.

Come celebrate Preservation Month with a downtown walking tour! Learn more about Georgetown by taking an hour long historic Architecture and Downtown Walking Tour on select dates in May. This tour is first come, first served and limited to 20 people. The tour will meet at The Williamson Museum, 716 South Austin Ave, Georgetown TX 78626.
