My back yard yesterday.
I'm embarrassed that I haven't used my Z30 more often for videos last year. My go-to has been my trusty Samsung Galaxy S21 for great footage for The Georgetown Rocks coverage of live performances. But I am just now reviewing footage from KFOK's birthday bash, where I tested the Z30 for b-roll footage, and WOW. Definitely taking the big kid off the bench and putting him into play a lot more this year.
As a photographer, i LOVE LEDs and blacklight sources! As a low/no budget videographer, i HATE both with a passion. Especially when having both at the same time.
Earlier this year, i wasblown away by the wildly vivid visual styles of metal merchants Project Mayhem AD . I was excited to shoot their set, but was kicked in the nuts when i reviewed the footage the next day. The UV smears skin tones, esp when that skin is thrashing the stage. In order to make any video useable, i had to mute the hues, which is very uneven and heavy-handed with LED light sources, and i wasnt very happy with the results. I wanted visuals that matched the volcanic energy of the band's music, and the photographer in me was determined to get details and clarify. So when i found out that these guys were coming back to the Green Room, i rolled up my sleeves and prepared to do a much better job this time around
Shooting a metal band kicking ass with no spotlight, just UV and LED backlights AND a fog machine is never going to be easy. But i learned a few things, and can't wait to share clips on The Georgetown Rocks this coming week!

Chan Zilla bright and early at the Annex Coffee house starting the week off right. Breaking in the new lens, producing clips from last weekend's show at PJ's Roadhouse with Band and ZERO POINT ZERO, helping to plan an upcoming open mic broadcast here at the Annex, updating events on The Divide Music Scene, reviewing parade footage from the recent Christmas tree lighting, all while enjoying a chocolate chip muffin and a mudslide mocha. Looking forward to a produ tively fun week of remote work!

If you want your content to be seen by others, then you MUST interact with their content.
1. Thats what the analytics look for.
2. You really should know your audience. Engage with your fb friends and the pages you follow. Show them you're a real human being who is paying attention. They will notice.
And so will Facebook.
It's not perfect. But it is consistent enough. Know your crowd. Don't be a spammer. Do Unto Others.

That's NOT what "be the bigger person" means. It simply means be smarter, wiser, and better. Stand up tall instead ofstooping low. Do the RIGHT thing out of love and justice. Not out of retaliation and spite. Sometimes, yes, step away from the bu****it soypu dont get dragged down into it. Sometimes it also means you nip it in the bud.
