I made these the end of September 2025 - shortly after all my treatments and the big scan when I found out I was cancer-free. Last night I dreamed (nightmared) that the cancer came back (which MAY happen) and there was nothing I could do to prevent it or treat it (which COULD BE true). After spending far too much time googling the odds, having a fitful sleep, and waking abruptly with a charlie horse (all which DID happen), and struggling this morning exhausted from worry (which WAS true), I rallied when I revisited where I was and how I felt when I made these.

Hello. Remember me? It's been awhile. For anyone curious or wanting to keep up, I am now cancer-free, settling into my sanctuary in Frankfort, KY, getting into gardening, meditation, and yoga (gonna try acupuncture tomorrow - nervous but excited), and I just opened a little Etsy shop.

I'm starting off VERY slowly, but I eventually hope to offer a lot more original one-of-a-kind art pieces, personal, different, edgy, experimental and fun stuff. Of course it's still gonna be a lot sparkly and a lil naughty, cuz that is kinda my thang! 😉

This past year has been beyond tough: major and minor health and home setbacks, AI is taking over, prices are soaring, decency is plummeting, Microsoft is getting rid of Publisher, America won't get rid of a dictator, the world is on fire (figuratively and literally), my "new normal" is "challenging," ...

Anyway, I know that to some degree all of my loved ones are in the same leaking boat just trying to bail each other out and/or jump ship and swim to a kinder gentler shore, while trying stay present yet be prepared, ...

Anyway, I feel SO much better when I'm making/doing/helping MORE, worrying/scrolling/bitching LESS, so ...

Oh, and this page is going to be a lot more personal and transparent (not really an announcement, more like a warning ... joking, kind of). I want to connect and share - even if not IRL - with REAL people who want to help and love, talk art and music, and spread joy and sparkle. Of course, with the spam and the bots and FB being 'the devil ya know,' I may regret being on here at all. Then again, I may be surprised.

Mostly, I just want people who love my art to know my heart.

I had a wonderful morning. CT scan still shows no cancer AND I brought my flowers in for Mitchell to hand out when someone finishes radiation treatments … or if they need a little sparkly reminder that Spring is just around the corner. So thankful to have UK Markey Cancer Center taking such good care of me. 🌺🦄
