Legalism is a dangerous trap in Christianity. The Bible is a collection of 66 books by over 40 different authors. There are a lot of do’s and dont’s. The whole reason for the do’s and donts is for our protection and holiness. We are not walking a tight rope in danger of falling to lostness, rather we are blessed to be locked in to salvation and security on an exhilarating roller coaster of life with God.

My daughter and grandkids are coming this weekend. The greatest thing you can pass down from generation to generation is a legacy of unconditional love, unlimited grace and unimaginable mercy through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. You can’t give what you don’t have so make sure you surrender to Jesus and then bring as many people as you can with you.

What does it mean to be alive? A heart beat? Brain activity? Joy? Pain? Peace? Physical life is what is most focused on, but what about eternal life? When I read through the Bible, I see the recurring theme that life is to be with God and death is to be without God. Our spirit will live forever, either with God or without God. The choice is ours. Jesus said that he came that we may have life and have it more abundantly. I pray that you are experiencing life abundantly. Jesus also said that he is the way the truth and the life. All I know is the closer I get to Jesus, the more alive I feel. I rejoice in God and celebrate the life that he has given me. But, I I weep for those who don’t know him yet. I pray that the sermon may open their eyes to Jesus Christ.

There are a lot of laws in this world. Local, state, federal and more. The law I’m most concerned about is God’s Law. God’s Law is very specific and put there so that mankind can understand God and relate better to Him and to others. Once you understand God’s Holy requirements for us, you will better understand God’s amazing grace of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Work isn’t just a four letter word. Work is how things get done. There is a sense of accomplishment when work is completed. Some work produces products, some work is in the service field and some work maintains some aspect of a place or product or person. The value of work to and for a society is immeasurable. We work for money, improvement, and even for fun if we do it right. Work, especially hard work can make you sweat. Work can be used to describe our relationships too. How hard do you work on your relationship with God? Do you read the Bible? Pray? Apply the Bible to your life? Apply yourself to these tasks and watch how you improve every day.

Knowledge is a good thing when it is combined with wisdom and love. Knowledge can also be destructive when it is combined with pride and anger. We should always seek knowledge and use it humbly in love. Wouldn’t that make the world a better place?

Kindness is hard to find. Most people want to be funny rather than kind, inflammatory rather than kind, snarky rather than kind, or condescending rather than kind. I’m so grateful for Gods response to me as I come to Him with all of my thoughts, concerns, and problems. He is my Lord and Savior. He alone always responds to me with unconditional love, infinite grace, and unlimited mercy…every single time. I don’t deserve His kind and gentle hugs, but there He is… every single time. Maybe that’s why I love to hug people so much. I pray you get a hug from Jesus today, or maybe just from someone who understands His kind of kindness.

I celebrate two holidays a year- Christmas and Easter. I celebrate each one for about 6 months. This Sunday we are celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ!! It was the day in history that changed everything. Jesus gave His life for you and me then he was raised from the grave to defeat death itself so that we could believe in Him to have eternal life!! That is with celebrating and shouting!! We have a lot of activities this weekend.
