With fall classes starting just around the corner- and as our horse stalls start to fill up again- we are reminded of the heartwarming service project led by the Round Rock Chamber Leadership Round Rock Group.

In 2025, the Round Rock Chamber’s Leadership Round Rock class selected ROCK as its annual service project, transforming our horse barn through months of fundraising, planning, and hands-on volunteer work.

Their incredible renovation included automatic water troughs, cooling fans, hay bags, new salt and mineral tubs, personalized horse nameplates, color-coded stall markers, horse enrichment features, and extensive repairs and repainting of stall doors. These improvements created a safer, more comfortable environment for our horses while making daily care more efficient for volunteers and staff.

The group also hosted a creative Horse P**p Bingo fundraiser, raising enough to complete the renovations and help welcome two new horses, Woody and Buzz, to the ROCK herd. Already making a difference in classes, Woody and Buzz are helping participants build confidence and experience the life-changing partnership between horse and rider.

Leadership Round Rock’s generosity will benefit our horses, participants, volunteers, and staff for years to come. We are deeply grateful for their lasting investment in the future of ROCK and the miracles that happen in the dirt.

Did you know ROCK offers a program called Hoof Prints in Time, which serves individuals from memory care communities throughout our area?

This week, we had the joy of welcoming participants from NeuroRestorative to ROCK. Throughout the visit, our horses helped create meaningful moments of connection, bringing smiles, laughter, and cherished memories to the surface. 🐴😀

Watching participants engage with the horses and share stories is a beautiful reminder of the impact these experiences can have. ❤️

Thank you to NeuroRestorative for partnering with ROCK to make these special moments possible. We are grateful to share the healing power of the horse with your participants. 🤝
