💜 Today, on World Alzheimer’s Day, we remember that even when memories fade, connection remains.

At ROCK, we’ve seen the incredible power of a horse to create moments of connection, comfort, and joy. That is the heart behind Hoofprints in Time, our equine-assisted ground program created for individuals living with memory loss, neurological conditions, brain injuries, and those receiving hospice care and their caregivers.

Through time spent with our horses, participants have opportunities to engage their senses, share stories, enjoy familiar experiences, and simply be present in the moment. A gentle touch, a horse’s soft breath, a familiar sound, or a shared smile can create a meaningful connection.

Hoofprints in Time reminds us that every person has a story worth remembering—and every moment of connection matters. 🐴💜

Today, we honor those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, the families and caregivers walking alongside them, and the communities working to ensure no one feels forgotten.

Alex is one of our wonderful ROCK participants, and we’re especially grateful to see him giving back to a place that means so much to him.

Alongside John, a sidewalker in Alex’s class, Eric, Alex’s dad, and the rest of our new Tack Cleaning Team, Alex is volunteering his time to help keep our tack clean, cared for, and ready for upcoming classes.

Thank you to this amazing team for rolling up your sleeves and helping ROCK in such a meaningful way. We are so grateful for each of you! ❤️

We are so grateful to HTeaO Georgetown - Westinghouse & Rabbit Hill for helping us kick off a wonderful first week back! 🎉

HTeaO's generous donation of tea and lemonade kept our riders, families, volunteers, and staff refreshed and hydrated as we welcomed everyone back to ROCK. 💧

A big thank you to Dale's Essenhaus for hosting ROCK’s Back to ROCK Night! ❤️🐴

We had such a wonderful time celebrating with our ROCK family last Thursday, and we’re so excited to welcome everyone back as classes begin today!

From delicious burgers and great company to the always-popular Horse Bingo, it was the perfect way to kick off a new semester. A special thank you to Maddie Runyan from Frost for once again leading ROCK Horse Bingo! Maddie, you bring so much fun and energy to our events, and we are incredibly grateful for you!

And the good news doesn’t stop there! Dale’s Essenhaus is continuing to support ROCK throughout the month of September with their Round Up Fundraiser. When you dine at Dale’s, you can round up your bill to make a difference for ROCK and help support our mission. Every little bit adds up!
