Wrapped up sunflower mini sessions with two gorgeous shoots this evening. I pray this hill country stays just as beautiful year after year because these put all the positivity in my heart. I hope to do mini sessions more often, they’re so fun & always allow for some creativity for those who may not want a whole stylized shoot. Pushing myself out of my comfort zone to come up with locations and hear out each persons vision is a must for me, especially when I spend so much time indoors...literally so much time I’ve been diagnosed with a vitamin d deficiency...thanks Somehow I’m confident I got enough this evening to last me the next few weeks, burnt shoulders to prove it. This session today will always hold a special place in my heart. My sis-in-law amazes me every day with her grace and determination. “In-law” doesn’t even need to be included in her title, I love her as my own sibling. I am so astounded & filled with pride to watch her float into this next phase of life with all of the characteristics of one strong woman. We wrapped up this session with the most beautiful surprise...stay tuned 🌼

First family session back in the photography game since becoming a mama myself. I feel like I have a renewed sense of urgency to really get shots of the details of the first days with a sweet babe now that I understand how fleeting those moments are, even the unplanned, silly ones. I enjoyed every minute of this and snuggled my little one just a bit tighter while editing these away. Family is everything and the moments though fleeting turn into memories that we always keep with us. Thank you to Angela Moritz & the Moritz fam for trusting me with these special photos!

Editing away today with the most distracting little assistant. She’s the most inspiring thing to keep pushing through the tired screen eyes to pay attention to the tiny little details that make each shot unique.

I have always been the type to wonder what is the real life going on in the midst of all the perfect photos and it’s usually represented in those tiny details. This photo’s reality includes a new mom at her snack crowded desk surrounded by her husband’s plant hoard with a motivation to deliver one kick butt session to a client. This is the best reality I could imagine ✨

As a therapist in my full time job I do quite a bit of meditation & relaxation groups with sometimes up to 30 patients. Patients from all walks of life and backgrounds come together for some breathing and stretching to re-center and ground themselves. THE most important part of the session are the statements of gratitude at the end. We verbally thank our bodies for sustaining us, our feet for supporting us each day and our hands for serving us.

These hands work hard for their family, they have come home filthy and scratched with no complaints. These hands also change diapers, put on bows and stroke soft baby cheeks. These hands definitely deserve their own shot as a reminder to honor all they do 🌼
