So, I may be in the running for the Worst Wife Award! Due to middle school trip fatigue, it nearly slipped my mind yesterday that it was this awesome guy’s birthday! I did plan to throw together a family celebration after I came to my senses. So, now I’m a day late with the social media post … which he won’t see because he’s an old soul who believes Facebook and it’s ilk are of the devil. (Sometimes I agree with him). If you see this then see him, make sure to wish him the biggest best 45th year EVER!! He deserves it!

We MADE it!! This dude turns 18 today! I’m so excited to see what God has in store for this kind, loyal, determined and talented young man. Happy birthday to one of the greatest loves of my life. Thanks for making me a Mom!

When Southwest Airlines gives you lemons by way of a cancelled flight, you make lemonade by way of a walk along the Las Vegas strip, dinner at Emeril’s and watching the incredible Cirque de Soliel O. All-in-all, not a bad layover.

My view this morning. Mahalo, Hawaii! I hate to leave tomorrow but this morning’s family bike ride was a fantastic start to our last day here!
