Thank you to Christy Clary for opening your doors and sharing the depth of programming, curriculum, and resources the Extension Office provides. Learning how 4-H and OSU Extension can partner with STEAMology to support our kids is exactly the kind of community connection we strive to build. Together, we can create pathways that show students what’s possible. 🚀

Today’s learning went far beyond four walls! 🐝 We started our morning at The House of Honey, a family-run business in Newtonsville, Ohio, home to over 250 regional hives and experts in everything from honey and propolis products to queen rearing. Check out their family-friendly YouTube channel to learn more!

From there, we headed to John Chausmer Reptiles for a fascinating look at entrepreneurship and genetics two topics that connect directly to what our students are exploring in the classroom. 🐍

We are so grateful for community partners who open their doors and expand what’s possible for young learners.

Today’s STEAMology Day Two is giving educators the space to do just that collaborating on strategies for enrichment and creative thinking that meet the needs of their highest-potential students.

STEAMology Day 1 is officially in the books!
We had an incredible day at Greenacres and what a host they were!
Educators explored fossil hikes, prairie ecosystems, microscopy, and interactive activities like “Game of Death: Sizing Up the Past” all experiences designed to bring learning to life. Greenacres modeled both the what and the how, giving teachers classroom-ready strategies alongside authentic opportunities for students to explore the world around them.
Greenacres didn’t just show us what they do they showed us what’s possible for our students. 🦕🔬 We can’t wait to get kids out here!
