Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) is one of many vaccine-preventable infections that doctors are starting to worry about again due to falling vaccination rates in the United States. In our office, children receive Hib vaccination at 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, and 15 months of age providing excellent protection while they are most vulnerable.
The introduction of the conjugate Hib vaccination in the 1990s resulted in a 99% reduction in cases reported in the US. It is highly effective and well tolerated - protect your babies! ❤️

Happy Friday! We know that so many of our patients are hoping for this type of scene over the weekend! We will keep you posted on our hours of operation as the weather unfolds. Our Saturday morning clinic for sick patients will run in Georgetown from 8 am - 10 am as usual.
If your child takes medication daily or uses an albuterol inhaler for asthma, please check your stock and make sure that you are prepared for the weekend. You can send us a portal message or call in to our refill line if refills are needed. It is also a good idea to have acetaminophen and/or ibuprofen at home in the event of sickness over the weekend.
Regardless of office hours, we are always available by phone for urgent needs. If you call our main office line and the office is closed, you will be forwarded to our answering service.
Stay warm and have a great weekend!! ❄️☃️
