Our October W**e Club is taking us to Germany - Off the Beaten Path, No Rielsings Allowed! This is a great way to explore some hidden gems from Germany.
W**e Club Release Day is October 3, so stop in and pick up your monthly w**e selections.
W**e Club members also have a 1/2 off tasting coupon available each month (one-time use only), so plan to come in and taste some new w**es from our tastings stations this month!
We’re super excited to welcome Pat Jeffries back into the shop to guide us through a lineup of fantastic w**es from Robert Biale Vineyards!
Founded by a family of Italian immigrants who found themselves making (bootleg!) w**e in California, Robert Biale has become a standard-bearer of old-vine Zinfandel in the region. Zinfandel was one of the OG California w**es - long before anyone thought to plant Cabernet. Biale is just about the only Zinfandel-centric w**ery remaining in Napa Valley.
Included in this year’s all-new lineup are a couple of w**es not ordinarily available outside the w**ery that Pat likes to bring to these sort of events. This includes a pair of rare single-vineyard Zinfandels that are so often out of stock at the w**ery that we’ve never event tasted them!
Tasting Lineup
2025 Clementine Greco Bianco
2024 R.W. Moore Vineyard Zinfandel
2024 Stagecoach Vineyard Zinfandel
2024 Black Chicken Zinfandel
2024 Royal Punisher Petite Sirah

Don’t tell our friends in California, but good ol’ Kentucky 🐎 is home to the very first commercial vineyard AND w**ery in the United States. 🤩💪
So we LOVE to support local where we can, and are thrilled to be repping two more local w**eries on our shelves here at The W**e Project!
Fun fact: Wise Bird C***rs are fermented using Ch*****ne yeast! This means they’re actually licensed as a w**ery, and their c***rs drink more like sparkling w**e 🥂 than your traditional hard c***r. So if you *hate* c***r, you’ll love these! Taste for yourself - the Rosé is on tap this week.

W**emaker Brian Young is THE MASTER of Chambourcin, a funky little grape that thrives in the midwest. He was pouring these w**es at Festival of the Horse, and let’s just say he didn’t take many bottles home at the end of the weekend. These w**es won’t be for everyone, but they are extremely well-made.
🍷 1922 House Vineyards Bourbon Barrel Aged Chambourcin (Amarone lovers!)
🍷 1922 House Vineyards Sangria
🍷 1922 House Vineyards Coffee Infused Sweet Red (Alicia’s new obsession)
Our first bottles landed last week and we can’t wait for you to try them!

We’re welcoming Lynton Kaiser from South Africa’s Boekenhoutskloof W**ery (pronounced “book-howed-skloof”) into the shop for a fantastic evening of w**es from South Africa’s Western Cape.
The Boekenhoutskloof estate has been racking up international acclaim for it’s contribution to modern South African w**e making for the last 30 years, and Lynton has spent most of his career pounding the pavement singing its praises. He’s making the 18-hour (!) flight to Kentucky to present some of his w**ery’s most popular bottles.
The evening includes a guided tasting of 5 w**es, plus charcuterie and bottled water. We will have extra bottles on hand for you to take home at a 10% discount.
W**e Lineup:

Welcome to The W**e Project!
Now that we are settled in our new location, we thought it was time to re-introduce the people who make The W**e Project so special. Swipe to meet our team (and 👀 what they have in their glass!).
John is a lifelong w**e traveler who had a dream of sharing with others the sort of w**es that can only be found down the dustiest of w**e country back roads. His passion launched The W**e Project in 2020. You can find John in the shop just about every hour it’s open.
Alicia’s appreciation of w**e started when her and John started dating. By the time The W**e Project opened, she knew her way around most w**es and rarely finds one she can’t appreciate and enjoy. Alicia can be found in the shop on most weekends and for events.
Cass is the self-appointed shop door watcher and king of the clean up crew. He makes special appearances and provides support. You can find Cass wherever Alicia happens to be 😉
Alexis is a longtime friend of the shop and spends most of her time dreaming up ways to say “sip happens”. If there’s a w**e in the shop she hasn’t tasted, it’s because the rest of the team has been hiding it from her. Alexis can be found in the shop some evenings and Saturdays and at events.
Travis calls himself a bona fide Cork Dork. He is a true lover of all things w**e and loves to help people find new flavors to enjoy. He is also a w**e educator who likes to teach by making all the facets of w**e easy and accessible to understand. Travis can be found in the shop for his monthly w**e tasting classes.
