http://AmyCavaness.com features photos and information about my fine art quilts. Lap sized quilts are most popular and practical (about 36" X 42").

Sew Many Memories is my business creating one of a kind memory quilts an wall hangings. Quilts can be made from any type of clothing, baby to adult, for a huggable, touchable memory. My "story quilts" are wall hangings that tell a story---YOUR story! Whether it is an important event, a person's life, a company's evolution---your story deserves to be told and commemorated in a unique work of art. T

I am humbled and delighted to share that I am featured in this professional organization’s quarterly journal. I have gotten so much from my membership in SAQA!

Had a great time at the AQS show in Paducah last weekend! No ribbons, but the contest director said my quilts generated lots of conversation and reminiscences. Too bad they don’t post the artist’s statements like other shows do, but I enjoyed telling a few folks the stories.

I’m so thrilled!! I just got an email from the Road to California quilt show (it’s a biggie with loads of the best works out there).

During the judging of your entry our judges made the following observations:The excellent fabric choices evoke a feeling of nostalgia and authenticity. The construction techniques enhance the sentiment of this pictorial quilt.”

I’m honored that my 2018 quilt “Balustrade” is included in an online gallery with the theme Historic Detail. Lots of beautiful and interesting pieces.

I’m thrilled and honored to share that the Texas Quilt Museum has chosen to include 3 of my quilts in their show this fall, “Seeing In Color”. I thought a lot of my work suited the theme so I entered 3, never dreaming they’d take all 3 among 52 chosen. I can’t wait to see the show!
