Harold Kaminski was stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, from 1940–1944. This circa 1941 photograph from the Georgetown County Digital Library, offers a glimpse into a remarkable chapter of both local and national history.

As we reflect on America's past and look toward the nation's 250th anniversary, stories like Harold's remind us of the individuals whose service helped shape our country's history!

On June 29th, the Kaminski House will be open for discounted tours from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM as part of SC250's Explore Georgetown, a county-wide opportunity to discover the museums and historic sites that share the stories, people, and places that helped shape the American Revolution.

Throughout the day, stationed docents will share the history of the Kaminski House, its beautifully preserved antiques and furnishings, and the stories of the families who called it home through the centuries.

Admission is just $8, with free admission for ages 17 & under.
