After being named a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by France, disability rights advocate Haben Girma used the moment to champion something she believes is too often overlooked: Braille. She reminds us that Braille is far more than a reading system. It’s a tool for literacy, authorship, independence, and equal participation in a world increasingly shaped by AI.
France made me a Knight, and I made France a promise. I may have a guide dog instead of a horse and a keyboard instead of a sword, but I pledge to champion Braille across the globe. Don’t Wait for an Accessibility Lawsuit
A strong accessibility process is not just about fixing issues. It is also about showing the work.
In this clip, Chris discusses Patrykus v. Dormco Corp., a case involving an allegedly inaccessible website. Dormco Corp. was able to point to a history of audits, monitoring, regular scans, and accessibility work, which helped show that they were measuring and managing accessibility over time.
The takeaway: the best defense is a good offense. Scan your website, audit regularly, fix accessibility issues at the source, and document your progress along the way.

In this clip, Amber, Chris, and Steve take a hilarious detour into mom wine cocktails, 90s wine coolers, boxed wine, and very sweet wine served over ice.
What starts as a joke about “sophisticated moms” turns into a full debate about whether ice belongs in wine and whether some drinks are really just sugar water in disguise.
