On Monday May 25th 2026 at approximately 12:18 PM, the Georgetown Fire Company and Georgetown EMS/Station 93 responded to the intersection of Seashore Hwy and Vaughn Rd for a motor vehicle accident. Minor injuries were reported.

On Saturday, May 16th, at approximately 1:02 PM, the Georgetown Fire Company responded to a trash fire in the 16,000 block of Seashore Hwy. Upon arrival, fire crews discovered that two piles of debris were being burned illegally. The fire was promptly extinguished.

This incident serves as a reminder that the Delaware Burn Ban is currently in effect, prohibiting any open burning. For further information, please contact the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DENREC).

On Saturday, May 16th, at approximately 12:46 PM, the Georgetown Fire Company and Georgetown EMS/Station 93 were dispatched to the intersection of Seashore Highway and Cokesbury Road for a motor vehicle incident. 77 command arrived (Deputy Chief Rogers) reported that a food truck had overturned and was on its side in a ditch. Fortunately, only minor injuries were sustained.
