Exciting weekend ahead alert!
Two young offspring of will be competing in graded stakes this weekend and seeking to book their tickets to Breeders' Cup, as will a Summer Wind-bred c**t by Not This Time.
Beginning what we hope will be a parade of takeoffs for even bigger days ahead will be St. Elias Stables' homebred ๐๐จ๐ง๐ข๐ช๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฅ (Flightline), who has drawn post 3 against 11 rivals in the G2 Jessamine Stakes over 1 1/16 miles on turf at Keeneland on Oct. 2.
Trained by Brad Cox, Monique En Vol proved a handy winner of her debut on Sept. 5 at Kentucky Downs when going a mile. The bay filly rated next-to-last in the field of eight early under jockey Florent Geroux before rallying convincingly to get the win by 1 3/4 lengths over favored Viaggio (Vekoma).
Monique En Vol, who is from the family of Broodmare of the Year Courtly Dee and who is a half sister to G1pl Spycatcher (Noble Mission), has been made the 4-to-1 morning-line choice in the Jessamine and she will be ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr. Geroux is still recovering from serious injuries incurred when his mount fell at Churchill Downs on Sept. 10 whereas Ortiz is just returning from injury recovery.
Other highly-regarded entries in the Jessamine -- which is a Win & You're In race for the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf -- include Seneca Park (Golden Pal), a winner of both her starts including the $750,000 Untapable Stakes at Kentucky Downs, a race contested at 6 1/2 furlongs, and Lucky Bernadine (Tapit), who is coming off a maiden score over a mile at Kentucky Downs. Both those rivals are listed at 9-to-2 on the morning line; Cox also trains Lucky Bernadine while Seneca Park is from the barn of Dallas Stewart.
On the following day, Blue Heaven Farm's homebred ๐๐จ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ก (Flightline), who became her sire's initial stakes winner when taking the Bolton Landing Stakes over 5 1/2 furlongs on the Saratoga turf on Aug. 26, will seek to keep her two-race undefeated streak going when she faces 5 rivals -- including a trio of c**ts -- in the G3 Algonquin Stakes at Woodbine.
โThe one thing you hope to see from a young horse with plenty of promise is the ability to get better in everything they do from week to week,โ trainer Kevin Attard said when discussing Go for Launch. โAnd that's what she has shown us.
โThe growth โ mentally, physically, and otherwise โ is there. Now she has to step up again, and we have every reason to believe she is ready for that moment," he added of the Alogonquin.
The trainer praised Go for Launch for her determined win in the Bolton Landing, in which she drew off with authority, he noted while adding that she has special qualities. No wonder, as the filly is not only by undefeated champion Flightline, she is out of Canadian Horse of the Year Starship Jubilee (Indy Wind).
โA big key with any two-year-old is how they handle new things that you throw at them. She has done that and done it extremely well. She might not be the biggest horse, but in her mind, she is. She has a confidence about her that inspires confidence in us," Attard said.
Go for Launch will be reunited with jockey Pietro Moran in the Algonquin and she will start from post 4. Last year's Algonquin Stakes winner Cy Fair (Not This Time) went on to win the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint. and that also could be the next target for Go for Launch.
Coming back to face Go for Launch again will be Bolton Landing runner-up Allura (Mind Control), and another foe will be twice stakes-placed Mrs D (Bolt d'Oro). Two of the c**ts in the race are still maidens while the other, maiden winner Excessif (Quality Road), finished seventh in his stakes debut on Sept. 7 at Colonial Downs.
Capping the weekend action for juveniles will be Summer Wind-bred ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ (Not This Time), who races for Repole Stable and St. Elias in the G2 Bourbon Stakes at Keeneland on Oct. 4. The Bourbon is a Win & You're In launching pad to the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf.
Bold Leadership has finished a close second in both his starts to date for trainer Todd Pletcher, including just missing by a neck in the G3 With Anticipation Stakes at Saratoga on Sept. 5 after breaking slowly from the gate.
The c**t out of Summer Wind's mare Sweetened (Candy Ride) will get a new jockey for the Bourbon in the form of Irad Ortiz after previously being steered by Jose Ortiz and then Manny Franco.
Perhaps the biggest threat to Bold Leadership in the race is Mid American (Epicenter), who won the $750,000 Kentucky Downs Juvenile Sprint Stakes on Aug 29 at Kentucky Downs for Doubledown Stables and trainer James DiVito. Mid American has drawn the outside post 11 while Bold Leadership is set to break from post 3.
Good luck to all! AND WAIT -- THERE IS MORE!
We almost forgot that ๐๐ญ๐จ๐๐ค ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ (Flightline) -- the half brother to Golden Pal -- is one of 12 entered in the G2 Pilgrim Stakes at Belmont Park and that is another Breeders' Cup Win & You're In race (for the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf). Stock Rising was a $1.5 million yearling purchase by Resolute Racing.
And, perhaps even most exciting of all, the much-ballyhooed c**t ๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ฅ (Flightline) seems poised to make his debut for trainer Yosh*to Yahagi at Tokyo Racecourse on Oct. 4. Yahagi picked out the c**t at Keeneland in September 2025, where he was a $1,050,000 purchase by Yoshizawa Stable.
Reading online that Yahagi has called the big c**t "Sand Tank" while expressing immense confidence in him gives us some goosebumps. The newcomers' race is set to be contested over 1600m (about one mile) one dirt.

It's been a Super Hi-5 racing weekend for Summer Wind with a quintet of special winners from coast to coast and in Japan!
Leading the way was last year's champion 2yo filly Super Corredora (Gun Runner), who after rearing in the gate and being her usual fiery self in the pre-race warm-up, cruised wire-to-wire to capture the G2 Zenyatta Stakes at Santa Anita under Joel Rosario. With the win, she earned an all-fees paid berth in the Breeders' Cup Distaff at Keeneland.
Video of Super Corredora winning the Zenyatta Stakes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5b4bQhH6wnE
Super Corredora's dam, Super Simple (Super Saver), is a member of the Summer Wind broodmare band and earlier this year she foaled a three-quarter sibling to the champion, a filly by Gunite. We are thrilled to report that Super Simple is back in foal to Gun Runner and is carrying another filly, according to fetal sexing.
The Zenyatta victory was especially impressive for Super Corredora as the race was her first start since March. Her earnings of $120,000 for the win pushed her career bankroll to $1,220,100.
John Sadler, who trains Super Corredora for a partnership including West Point Thoroughbreds, said while her rearing in the gate was somewhat scary, the filly otherwise was clearly on her game.
"Itโs first time against older (fillies and mares) and there were some nice horses in there, so I was really thrilled with her effort. She trained very well," Sadler said.
"She did unbelievable," added jockey Joel Rosario.
Earlier on Sunday, Summer Wind-bred 3yo c**t ๐๐จ๐ง'๐ฌ ๐๐ข๐ง๐ง๐๐ซ (Game Winner) -- who in June finished second to eventual Travers Stakes winner Leading Change (Gun Runner) in a Churchill Downs maiden special weight race -- rallied from off the pace to score over older rivals in a $120,000 maiden special weight event at Churchill for owner Anthony Tate, trainer Joe Sharp and jockey Luis Saez.
Video of Don's Winner prevailing at Churchill Downs (racing action begins at 7:25 into this video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2msTzh5lGnQ
Don's Winner had come on to the track for the 1 1/8-mile event prancing with his neck bowed, obviously ready for a big effort, and the gray c**t did not disappoint. He defeated 4yo Cromwell (Quality Road), a $500,000 yearling, by 1 1/4 lengths with Mr. Tapps (American Pharoah) third with a final time of 1:50.09.
A $150,000 Keeneland September yearling when purchased by Tate, Don's Winner is out of Map Maker (Liam's Map), a half sister to MG1 winner and sire McKinzie.
Meanwhile, the action sparkled in Japan on Friday when 's son ๐๐จ๐ฒ๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ซ zipped out of the starting gate in his debut at Urawa racecourse, pressed the early pace and then soared away from rivals to win by 7 lengths, reported Keiba Info Club on X. The chestnut c**t accomplished the win on an NAR track rather than at JRA level while excelling on dirt, although jockey Tsubasa Sasagawa enthused that his mount "looks like he could do well on turf, too .. no doubt he is a horse to look forward to in the future."
Royal Emperor's impressive debut win video: https://x.com/keiba_info_club/status/2104007823432774036/video/1
Royal Emperor was bred in Kentucky by Edward Seltzer, Beverly Seltzer and W. S. Farish, and the 2yo is now owned by Blue Equus Co. Ltd. His dam is the Giant's Causeway mare Giant Review, a half sister to G2 winner Sparkling Review (Lemon Drop Kid) and from the immediate family of G1 winner Another Review (Buckaroo) & G1pl MGSW Dance Colony (Pleasant Colony); this is also the family that produced Lyphard (Northern Dancer) and his MG1-winning half sister Nobiliary (Vaguely Noble).
Also on Friday, but at Laurel Park in Maryland, Summer Wind-bred ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฒ scored his second career victory while going 7f for trainer Brittany Russell. The now 4yo gelding by Authentic out of For Royalty (Not For Love) is one of 7 winners produced by his dam and is a half brother to G1 winner Constellation (Bellamy Road), multiple stakes winner Truth Seeker (Into Mischief) and a trio of stakes-placed winners. For Royalty's final foal prior to being pensioned is the yearling c**t by Flightline who sold for $850,000 at the recently concluded Keeneland September sale.
One more winner to bring Summer Wind's weekend celebration to a close with 5 victors to cheer for was ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฌ (Street Sense), a 3yo gelding who won a 6f dash at Re*****on Park for owner/trainer Steve Asmussen while ridden by Erik Asmussen.
Props is one of 2 winners from 2 foals to race out of the Ghostzapper mare Gloryzapper, whose unraced daughter A La Lucie (Medaglia d'Oro) produced G1pl Chief Wallabee (Constitution).
Gloryzapper has an unraced 2yo c**t and a yearling filly, both by , and is back in foal to Flightline.
What a way to close out a record September at the sales with this group of winners. We're now ready for Keeneland and Breeders' Cup in October -- as well as the expected start by Flightline's impressive debut-winning son Demian in the G2 Saudi Arabia Royal Cup on the turf at Tokyo on Oct. 10.
Happy flying while on the wings of

Timing can be everything, and just two days after her full sister cruised home as a debut maiden special weight winner at Gulfstream Park, a yearling filly by Summer Wind-bred McKinzie will lead the farm's final 3 yearlings at this year's Keeneland September sale today.
Consigned as Hip 2038 with Lane's End, the filly is out of GSW Tapicat, by Tapit. Her catalog page reveals some impressive names in her immediate female family, including G1-winning sprinter Pohave, champion Track Robbery and Breeders' Cup Classic victor and sire Cat Thief.
Scottish Lass, the yearling's 2yo sister, began a new era for the family while racing as a homebred for Jane Lyon on Sept. 19. In the first race for Summer Wind with new trainer Saffie Joseph Jr., Scottish Lass galloped home as the even-money favorite in a maiden special weight dash at six furlongs, blazing a propitious trail for the very lovely yearling.
Meanwhile, set to be first into the ring for Summer Wind in today's session opening Book 4 is a c**t by American Pharoah out of Shadow Play (Galileo), consigned as Hip 1998 with Lane's End.
A robust, handsome individual, the c**t is bred on the same cross that yielded G1 winner Above the Curve, and his female family features his dam's half brother, Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf winner Hootenanny (Quality Road) and stakes winner Ryder Ryder Ryder (Quality Road).
Closing out what has been an epic, record-breaking sale for the farm will be Hip 2093, a filly by Authentic who is a half sister to G1pl stakes winner Moon Over Miami (Malibu Moon).
Produced by the GSP winner Zinzay (Smart Strike), the Authentic filly is from a hot family that includes Arkansas Derby winner Sandman (Tapit) and Dubai World Cup winner and sire Mystic Guide (Ghostzapper), as well as the G1-winning mares on her catalog page: Music Note (A.P. Indy) and Musical Chimes (In Excess), the latter winner of the French One Thousand Guineas.
All three yearlings are based in Barn 30 until they head to the ring for the session that begins at 10 a.m.

Records are made to be broken, and Summer Wind has done just that, achieving another farm record at the Keeneland September yearling sale.
Beginning the auction with the highest ever total for two yearlings sold in the same session (Book 1, session 2), Summer Wind now has eclipsed its own mark for total sales at this venue. Through Saturday's Book 3, session 5 (Sept. 19), 11 yearlings bred and raised at the farm (including one bred in partnership) had been sold for $8,670,000 and an average of $788,182.
The previous record was set in 2025 when 16 yearlings were sold for a combined $7,912,000.
Leading the way on Sept. 19 was the first c**t we featured for this auction, a son of out of For Royalty, by Not For Love. The dark bay, a half brother to G1 winner Constellation, multiple stakes winner Truth Seeker and a trio of other stakes-placed winners, sold for $850,000 to Al and Sandee Kirkwood, and we hope he will be their next big stable star.
Jane Lyon has retained this c**t's now 2yo full sister, Royal Flight, who is in training with Riley Mott.
The yearling c**t could not have looked any more star-like when he cantered across his paddock in the late summer setting sunlight not so long ago, as the attached image reveals. We will really miss these kinds of moments with this special group of 2026 yearlings, although the current group of weanlings is readying for their own unique moments as they continue to grow.
Summer Wind has not finished at Keeneland, however. and still has 3 more yearlings in the catalog set to make their way to the sale ring early on Monday, Sept. 21 (Book 4, session 7) so the farm's record sales total is likely to grow. We will have more to report on that final group poised for the ring soon.
In the meantime, however, we are taking a moment to reflect on all our , and we thank all the buyers who have made this a year to always remember.

While every young Thoroughbred can be counted upon to blaze across the pasture every now and then, sometimes we are fortunate enough to witness a c**t who has clearly been born to be a natural runner and who revels in his life's calling.
This c**t is that kind, and he has given us so many goose bumps just watching him soaring across his paddock, over and over again, no matter how hot the weather, no matter whether he has witnesses or rivals to appreciate his efforts or not.
He just wants to fly, as natural runners do.
Intriguingly enough, he seems to have been born with that special "look," as the very first profile photo we posted of him after he was born proved to be one of the most "liked" pictures on our page from all of 2025. So, we tip our hats to the followers who must have instantly seen something special about him.
His catalog page verifies his special nature. He's coming up soon at Keeneland as Hip 1507 with Lane's End, and he's by out of More Hennessy (Hennessy), thus a half brother to Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf victor Hootenanny (Quality Road), as well as to stakes winner Ryder Ryder Ryder (Quality Road), stakes-placed Tipple (Constitution) and multiple winner More'n Likely (Blame), dam of stakes winner Daring Do (Into Mischief) and GSP Should've (Not This Time).
This is one of those prized Edward P. Evans families, and the c**t's dam is a half sister to G1 winner Cat Moves (Tale of the Cat).

One of the most popular young sires at the Keeneland September sale has been champion Up to the Mark, a son of Not This Time (and out of Summer Wind's own Belle's Finale [Ghostzapper]) whose yearlings from his first crop have been averaging 17 times his initial stud fee of $25,000, according to the most updated statistics.
That is a rather remarkable feat these days for a turf champion in America, but we are not surprised, based on this Summer Wind-bred son of Up to the Mark. Consigned as Hip 1488 with Lane's End, he has always been handsome, precocious and full of run at the farm.
Even as a very young foal, he delighted in running rings around his dam, Memory Road (Quality Road) -- who is a half sister to MG1-placed stakes winner Fleet Review (War Front) and to stakes winner How About Now (Not This Time) -- provoking her to chase him all around their paddock. Since he was her first foal, she had that typical "new mother" concern as he galloped and gamboled with unbounding energy.
Clearly, he has the genes to be a runner as his second dam, A Star Is Born (Galileo), is a full sister to champion Rip Van Winkle. He is available in Barns 1 & 6 for inspection until he goes to the ring.

Today is a new day at Keeneland! It's the beginning of Book 3 and Summer Wind has 6 yearlings ready for the ring in the opening session with each deserving his or her own special showcase.
Carrying the torch for the line of will be Hip 1377, the daughter of Good Magic and Eblouissante (Bernardini), the half sister to the legendary champion and Breeders' Cup Classic winner.
And you can see that heritage in this filly's strong frame and her confident walk. Some might say she has the family's ears, too : )
Consigned with Lane's End, the filly is a half sister to G2 winner and $823,962 earner Confidence Game (Candy Ride) and to G3pl The Process (More Than Ready). She also is bred on the exceptionally successful cross of Curlin over Bernardini that already has produced so many outstanding runners including this year's Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes winner Golden Tempo.

With the yearlings by in high demand, just as they were last year, we are thrilled to have several more c**ts to offer in the Keeneland September sale, where his current average for 2026 offspring sold is $743,907.
Near the very end of today's Sept. 17 session, Summer Wind and consignor Grovendale Sales are set to present Hip 1131, a c**t out of GSW Proud Emma (Include).
As can be seen in these images, this c**t will stand out in any crowd! Born with a white question mark emblazoned on his face, that distinction has changed into more of an exclamation point, hopefully indicating what he could be in his future career and what is hinted at by his substantial engine.
His dam is just getting her broodmare career underway (he is her second foal) and yet she has one special characteristic that is always notable: she is a tail-female descendant of the queen of broodmares, La Troienne, through that mare's daughter Baby League and subsequent generations Striking, Glamour and Intriguing.
The influence on the Thoroughbred breed of that group is phenomenal. Just a superficial glance reveals the likes of: La Troienne's son Bimelech (Black Toney), a twice champion who won the Preakness and Belmont Stakes; Baby League's daughter Busher (War Admiral), a Horse of the Year; Striking, a Broodmare of the Year, and her daughter Glamour (Nasrullah), who produced G1 winner Poker (sire of My Charmer, dam of Seattle Slew)) and Intriguing (dam of champion Numbered Account [Buckpasser], who in turn produced G1 winner and influential sire Private Account [Damascus], who gave the world undefeated champion and Broodmare of the Year Personal Ensign) ... and everyone can see this list could go on and on and on.
As the centuries old idiom goes, "blood tells," and hopefully this c**t will add his own feats to the record books.
Hip 1131 is in Barn 41 prior to going to the sale ring.
