GHS Seniors and Alumni:

As an alumni association, we have continued to evaluate the COVID-19 situation. Unfortunately we have come to the conclusion that the 2020 celebratory banquet will be cancelled for the safety and health of our classmates.

There is a plan to celebrate the graduating class of 2021, the reunion class of 2020, and the 50-year reunion classes of 1970 and 1971 at next years banquet!

We still have the intentions of distributing our alumni scholarship for the graduating seniors of 2020 this year.

We would just like to thank you for your continued patience! Please share this post to reach the maximum number of Georgetown High School Seniors and Alumni.

Hello fellow classmates!

We, as an Alumni Association Committee, are continuing to reevaluate the COVID-19 situation and how it may impact our annual Alumni Banquet.

Since our last meeting, there have not been any new updates, but rather more restrictions to keep us safe and healthy.

We are going to continue to reevaluate the situation with the health and safety of our attendees in mind based on the directives of the Governor and following in the footsteps of our school district and its decisions.

While we would love to celebrate the 50-year class of 1970 and the Graduating Class of 2020, the health and safety of our Georgetown classmates will come first. We would like to thank you all once again for your patience and support. We will continue to communicate updates as we receive them.

Dear GHS classmates:

Since we are in unknown territory with what’s going on in our country with the COVID-19 issue, we would like to provide a few updates as an Alumni Association concerning our annual celebratory banquet.

Our banquet was previously scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at the Georgetown Jr./Sr. High School Gymnasium. We have decided to postpone any final decision making until further notice as we would like to see how the situation is progressing in weeks to come.

That being said, we will not be selling tickets until a final decision is made on the date as we are following the guidelines provided by our Federal and State governments. We will continue to reevaluate as more information is provided.

We will try our best to keep you updated in a timely fashion on the celebration for the 50 year Class of 1970, and the 2020 Graduating Class.
We thank you for your patience through this process!

We know the Alumni Banquet is a very important event that has the power to reconnect and build community. However, our safety and health are important as well.
