We're thankful to WBOC for reaching out and taking an interest in small local farms.

It sure has been awhile!
10.5 inches of the white stuff so far here in Sussex County. Critters are doing well (might be grumpy, but they're safe).

Where is the rain? 🌧
Over 3 weeks since our last measurable rain event.
Dusty, dusty, dusty.

Life has been (extra) hectic since baby Ellis arrived (imagine that!). He was born a bit early which was during pivotal weeks in the season. Some things around the farmstead were done late and some things not at all. So...we're shifting our focus for the rest of the season.
After much thought and discussion, we decided to pull out of the markets early this year. We sincerely appreciate your support at Hops and Crops (Revelation Georgetown) and Tidal Market Delaware. Please continue to swing by the markets and support the other vendors. Buying local truly does make a difference!
Instead of the markets, we'll have some items available for direct sale on the farmstead. Follow our page to find out what's available and when. Also feel free to reach out via messenger.
In other news...
Another chicken harvest is in the books. We had 2 chicken harvests so far this year and 2 more to go. Our pre-order pasture-raised Non-GMO chicken sold out rather quickly this year. We will have some retail cuts available later on.
We're pre-selling free range turkeys for Thanksgiving again this year. We have a small quantity available and expect to sell out like we always do. Email us at [email protected] for more information.
Our CSA wraps up in early September. This was our first year doing a CSA and we're learning a lot as we go. Thank you to our first CSA customers!

We're pleased to announce the public release of our 2024 Pasture Raised Turkeys.
This year we are raising Murray's Broad Breasted Artisan Black turkeys. These turkeys combine the composition and flavoring of the heritage breed Black Spanish with the consistency and growth of the Broad Breasted Bronze.
The turkeys will be harvested November 23rd and ready to pick up on the 24th. You'll have a fresh, locally raised turkey for your Thanksgiving feast.
As with all of our poultry, we will harvest them right here on the Farmstead.
We're currently offering 15, with more becoming available in the future.
Message us or email [email protected] to reserve yours today!
Today and tomorrow we have rain, rain, and more rain!
Lots of thunder accompanying the downpours. This growing season seems especially tough with hardly any rain for many weeks, now with flooding rain. Add in the extreme heat and you have yourself a challenge. Always learning something and figuring out how to adapt. Some things we'll repeat next year and some things we'll never do again. 😆
Stay safe out there!
We will NOT be at Tidal Market today. The weather over the last few days has made it difficult to be in the garden harvesting. The garden, however, is teeming with produce and we'll have plenty when we return next week.
If you'd like to see us in the meantime come out to Hops & Crops at Revelation Georgetown on Wednesday from 3-6.
Please stop by Tidal today and see the other vendors!

Moved goats and chickens into new areas of the farmstead today to take advantage of the greenery they so enjoy. Boy is it HOT out. 🔥
Revamped the market sign while in the AC.
Hot and chance of storms every day for the next several days. We'll see what materializes. We do appreciate some steady rain; the summer downpours are less helpful. Think good thoughts for the animals and garden beds.

What could be better for your Freedom Fries for The 4th then our freshly hand dug red, white and blue potatoes! Come get yours from 3-6 at Revelation Georgetown and the Hops & Crops Market.

Come see us and the other great vendors. Grab a cold craft beverage from the tap room and peruse the market. We'll have the first harvest of our potatoes, garlic and onions along with all of the good stuff for your furry friends.

The 8 week old layer pullets graduated from the brooder to their training coop. They are under close supervision and mentorship of two senior hens. We've found over the past 4 years that direct mentorship provides for the best outcomes when new chicks reach their permanent flocks. The layer pullets will spend 3 days locked in their new home to become familiar with it. After 3 days, they begin "free ranging" inside a section of our electric netting. Their 625 sq ft paddock will move once a week until they are ready to start laying this fall.
