A look back at our Memorial Day week as we honored, remembered, and celebrated those who served us.
Some stories only get better with time. ✨
One of our incredible Touchmark residents recently spent the day filming a nationally televised commercial celebrating centenarians and Grover was absolutely camera-ready. 🎬😉
Moments like these remind us that purpose, joy, and adventure don’t fade with age. At Touchmark, we love creating opportunities for residents to continue making meaningful memories and living life to the fullest.
Special thanks to Halcyon Home, LLC for partnering with us on such a fun experience. ❤️
Stay tuned for the commercial airing in early June!

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country.
“Just as the name implies, Memorial Day brings many memories. It brings up all the guys and gals who contributed to what we have here today: freedom. We need to remember everything that brought us to where we are now.” – George Furman, Touchmark resident & veteran
Across our communities, we’re grateful for the courage, sacrifice, and legacy of those who made our freedoms possible. Today, we reflect, we remember, and we give thanks.

A few weeks ago, we had the incredible honor of watching one of our own take to the skies once again. ✈️
104-year-old WWII veteran and Touchmark at Georgetown resident Grover Trytten participated in Dream Flights “Spirit of Texas” tour in Georgetown, soaring in a restored 1943 Boeing Stearman aircraft similar to those used to train military aviators during World War II.
This latest story is a follow-up to the Dream Flights coverage, offering a deeper look at Grover’s remarkable service in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II—and the legacy he continues to carry with him.
Moments like these remind us that history lives within our communities—and that adventure, courage, and purpose don’t fade with age.
We’re proud to celebrate Grover’s story and grateful for his service to our country.

As Nurses Week 2026 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the incredible impact our nurses have every day.
They bring compassion to every interaction, dignity to every moment of care, and joy to the lives of those they serve.
In senior living, nursing is about more than clinical care—it’s about walking alongside residents and families through life’s journey, building trust, and creating meaningful moments along the way.
To our nurses: thank you for all you do.
And to those considering a career in nursing—there’s a place for you here, where your work is valued, your ideas are heard, and your relationships truly matter.

Today, we celebrate the mothers, grandmothers, and mother-like figures who have shaped our lives in countless ways.
Across Touchmark communities, we’re honored to be surrounded by remarkable women whose stories, wisdom, and love continue to inspire us every day. Many of our residents have spent a lifetime caring for others—raising families, building traditions, and creating legacies that live on through generations.
To all of you who have nurtured, guided, supported, and loved so deeply—thank you. We are truly grateful to have you as part of our extended Touchmark family.
"To the world you are a mother, but to your family you are the world." —Unknown
Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Touchmark.
Moms have a way of teaching the lessons that stay with us for life, and this Mother’s Day, residents across Touchmark are sharing the wisdom they’ve carried through the years.
From Touchmark at Georgetown to Touchmark on Saddle Drive, Touchmark in the West Hills, and Touchmark at Harwood Groves, their advice is heartfelt, timeless, and a beautiful reminder of what matters most.
Happy Mother's Day to the mothers, grandmothers, mentors, and caregivers who continue to shape our lives every day.

What makes nursing at Touchmark different?
It’s the relationships.
Our nurses have the opportunity to truly get to know residents: their stories, their families, and what matters most to them. That connection transforms care into something deeply personal and incredibly meaningful.
As one of our nurses shared, “Getting to know those stories … creates a sense of purpose that goes far beyond tasks.”
If you’re looking for a place where you can slow down, build real relationships, and make a lasting impact, Touchmark could be the right fit for your next chapter in nursing.
Stay tuned throughout the week as we continue to celebrate our nurses with stories, photos, and more.
