Children of the Georgtown Lions got a picture with Dinky Gowen, Master of Illusion, at the annual fundraiser in January 2026. Thank you to Dinky Gowen and family for working with our club year after year to bring entertainment to our community. Thank you to Great Crossing High School for hosting the event. Thank you to all the parents who came out on a cold day for a good time!

Recently, Treasurer Lion Bill Singley went to the Royal Spring FOP Lodge 59 meeting to present a check to their president Daryl Blevins. The FOP will sponsor 50 children for shopping at Wal-Mart on December 13th at 8:30 AM. Lions are invited to participate and are pleased to support this community Christmas opportunity.

The Lions Club of Georgetown has maintained a partnership with the Amen House, which is dedicated to ending hunger and providing other resources to local families. Lion Bill Singley has consistently been involved through personal service to both the Lions Club and to the Amen House. It's an honor to support this charitable organization with a financial donation to support food access ahead of Thanksgiving. Lions Club of Georgetown will be joining the fun at Stamping Ground's Buffalo Daze. We will have a raffle, small carnival game zone, and a fall photo booth. This past week marked the induction of our officers for the 2025-26 service year. The induction ceremony was led by our very own Lion Janice. She charged a pledge of commitment from officers Lion Robert (President), Lion Maria (Vice President), Lion Amanda (Secretary), and Lion Bill (Treasurer). Collectively this group represents 90+ years of service to the Lions Club. Isn't that awesome?!

Today the Georgetown KY Lions club participated in the Rotary Club Annual Kite Festival at Scott County Park. On this blustery but otherwise gorgeous day, several community service organizations came together to create a fun day for families in our community. Featured below are Lions Amanda, Robert and Wayne representing our group. AJ showcases an example of face painting. And Lion Robert holding down the Fort, quite literally. A special thank you to Stamping Ground toymaker Michael Collins for donating hand-made toys to raise money for victims of flooding in our region. WE SERVE!
