đ§ Did You Know?
Past or recurrent infections can sometimes trigger neuroinflammation, which may contribute to symptoms that look like:
âď¸ Anxiety
âď¸ Depression
âď¸ OCD behaviors
âď¸ Attention difficulties
âď¸ Mood dysregulation
âď¸ Autism-like symptoms in some children
When underlying inflammation in the brain goes unrecognized, children may continue to struggle despite medications, therapy, or other interventions. In some cases, the root cause may be neurobiological and not fully addressed by symptom-focused treatment alone.
As parents, you know your child better than anyone. If youâve felt that something deeper may be contributing to your childâs challenges, itâs important to seek a comprehensive evaluation that looks beyond surface behaviors.
At our practice, we take the time to listen to parents, investigate potential underlying contributors, and develop individualized treatment plans that address the whole childânot just the symptoms.
⨠Your concerns matter. Your observations matter. And your child deserves answers.
đ Reach out today to schedule a thorough evaluation and learn whether hidden biological factors may be impacting your childâs emotional, behavioral, or cognitive health.
Note: Neuroinflammation is one possible contributor to psychiatric and behavioral symptoms and is not the cause in every case. A comprehensive medical evaluation is important to determine the factors relevant to each individual child.

Common ADHD medications for kids include stimulants, such as amphetamine and methylphenidate, and non-stimulants, such as Clonidine. These medications should not be taken lightly and are often most effective as part of a comprehensive treatment plan including therapy and family support.
Our Medication Management Services provide thorough psychiatric evaluation, individualized treatment recommendations, ongoing monitoring, and collaboration with families, therapists, schools, and other providers to ensure children receive the safest and most effective care possible.
Medication is never viewed as a "quick fix." Instead, it is considered one tool that may help children better manage symptoms, participate in therapy, succeed at home and school, and improve their overall quality of life.
If you would like to explore how therapeutic services or medication can help your child, please message or call us to schedule an evaluation today. â¤ď¸

Have you ever been told your child needs services, support, or accommodationsâbut had no idea where to start?
Thatâs where Targeted Case Management (TCM) can help.
TCM is a service designed to help families navigate the often-complicated world of mental health care, school supports, and community resources. Think of a Targeted Case Manager as a guide and advocate who helps connect the dots between the different systems involved in your childâs life.
For example, imagine a child who is struggling with anxiety at school, needs counseling services, and may qualify for additional educational supports. A TCM can help the family understand available resources, coordinate communication between providers and the school, connect them with community programs, and ensure everyone is working toward the same goals.
Families often tell us that managing appointments, paperwork, referrals, and school meetings can feel overwhelming. TCM helps reduce that burden by providing ongoing support, coordination, and advocacy so families donât have to figure everything out alone.
At BBSC, we believe every family deserves a partner who can help them access the resources their child needs to thrive.
Interested in learning whether Targeted Case Management could benefit your child or family? Contact BBSC today to learn more about available services and supports.
