5 year flash back… The pic of HWS Tutor Corps from May 2021 captures a time when connection looked very different…tutors met students through screens, building relationships one-on-one without ever sharing the same physical space. Training was online and this (socially distanced) picture was one of our limited gatherings. Fast forward, this photo, filled with smiling faces and proud tutors and their students from our end-of-year Saturday Academy bowling celebration after the last session. Fist bumps and laughter and reminders to never stop reading. 📚📚📚
The thread that runs through both moments is the same: 100 HWS students paired with 100 young readers…where connection matters and confidence grows. Our Tutors and CCESL and Geneva 2030 staff are deeply grateful for another year of partnership with local learners, community partners, and families. Thank you for a great year!! 😎 See you in September!
