Are you participating in this year’s GLOBAL BIG DAY on Saturday, May 9th? The Global Big Day is an annual event organized by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, whereby people worldwide count the birds they see and report their observations online at eBird.org or on the eBird mobile app. According to the Cornell Lab, 1.8 million people participated in last year’s Global Big Day event and an all-time high 7,931 bird species were reported!

Regardless if you are at home, in a park, anywhere, you can count the birds you see. Our friend Deb sent us this photo of a male Baltimore Oriole that she has been seeing in her yard. I hope Deb participates in this year’s Global Big Day! Deb’s husband, Bob, is our store’s Shipping Manager. Deb and Bob have many WBU feeders that help attract a lot of birds to their yard!
