Recovery has been part of my life for more than half of it.
As I get ready to celebrate 50 this week, I’ve been reflecting on how recovery—and life—continues to evolve. The challenges change, the lessons change, and hopefully, so do we. Every season has taught me something new.

I love seeing local businesses give back to the community. ❤️ Back-to-school season can be incredibly stressful for families, and I’ve seen firsthand through backpack and school supply drives how quickly those costs add up. Initiatives like this can make a real difference for students, teachers, and parents. Thank you for investing in our community and helping kids start the school year with confidence! 📚✏️🍎
Why do we still feel stuck, even after years of self-work?
Because insight alone doesn’t heal trauma.
Healing happens when your nervous system begins to experience safety, trust, and connection—not just understand your story.
If you’ve done the work and still feel stuck, you’re not failing. Healing isn’t linear, and it doesn’t happen overnight.
Every safe relationship, healthy boundary, and moment of peace is a step forward.
