🚌 Important Transportation Update for the Upcoming School Year 🚌
As we gear up for another great school year, we want to share some upcoming changes to our district’s bus transportation.

Like many school districts across Indiana, we are currently navigating significant financial pressures. To ensure we keep our primary resources focused directly on our classrooms and students, we have had to make some difficult but necessary adjustments to our transportation system to maximize efficiency.

Here is what you can expect this year:

Route Consolidations: We are condensing our transportation schedule and reducing our total bus routes by two.

New Satellite Stops: To make these consolidated routes efficient, we are incorporating more centralized satellite bus stops. Please be aware that your child’s new stop may be a longer walk from your home than in previous years.

Shared Elementary & ELC Routes: We are incredibly excited to open our new Early Learning Center at Hosford Park! To operate this new addition efficiently, ELC students will share buses with our elementary students. Because of this change, only first grade and kindergarten students will receive door to door service. All other students will be picked up and dropped off at a satellite location.

When will you get your route details? Because our transportation team is completely restructuring the district map to accommodate these updates, specific route times and stop locations will be sent out just a couple of days before school starts.

We know that changes to your family's morning and afternoon routines can be stressful, and waiting for those final details is not ideal. We are working diligently to get this right so we can safely and efficiently transport all our students.

It's been a busy and exciting week at Lake Ridge New Tech Schools as we prepare to welcome our Warriors back for the 2026–2027 school year!

📚 Monday: We welcomed our newest team members during New Staff Orientation, introducing them to the Warrior family and our commitment to student success.

🤝 Tuesday: We continued New Staff Orientation and proudly participated in National Night Out, connecting with students, families, and our community while sharing all that Lake Ridge has to offer.

🍎 Wednesday: Our entire staff came together for an engaging day of professional development, collaboration, and planning to ensure every classroom is ready for a successful year.

The countdown is on! Our teachers, administrators, and staff are excited, prepared, and looking forward to welcoming our students back next week.

Here's to an incredible 2026–2027 school year filled with learning, growth, and endless possibilities.

📚 Registration for the 2026-2027 School Year is Almost Here! 🍎

Online registration opens July 27, and in-person registration will be held August 5 & 6 at Calumet High School Gym.
