On Sunday, May 31st, we proudly celebrated our SMARTY PARTY V.I.P. (Very Intellectual Person) Recognition Program under the theme:
🌱 “Planted in Purpose, Growing with Intention, Blooming with Success.” 🌸
What an inspiring afternoon it was! Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Geminus Corporation, our scholars were empowered through an engaging panel discussion filled with valuable college and career insights, exciting raffle prizes, and special goodie baskets for each student.

As we honored their academic achievements, we also celebrated the bright futures ahead of them. These scholars have been planted in purpose, are growing with intention, and are well on their way to blooming with success.

On May 7th, Gamma Psi Omega celebrated scouting across Northwest Indiana. We are honored to partner with the Pathway to Adventure Council, whose commitment to empowering youth continues to inspire our community. This year, we were especially excited to celebrate Councilman Kenneth Whisenton as the recipient of the Community Award. Notably, Kenneth is the son, grandson, and brother of our very own Sisters Kellauna Mack, Dolena Mack, and Kendall Jackson, making this honor even more special for our sisterhood.

Gamma Psi Omega extends our sincere appreciation to everyone who joined us for the “From Paycheck to Property” event. It was an inspiring opportunity to learn, connect, and grow together as a community committed to financial empowerment and building generational wealth.

We offer special thanks to Dwayne Rancifer for sharing practical real estate strategies and actionable insights on wealth building, and to Jonathan Tarver for equipping attendees with tools to better understand income, buying power, and how to turn earnings into long-term opportunities.

Thank you to our community for showing up, engaging, and investing in your future. Together, we will continue moving forward in ownership, empowerment, and legacy.

Gamma Psi Omega Chapter is excited to celebrate Arbor Day through service as we come together to plant trees and nurture our community. Join us for a meaningful day of fellowship, environmental stewardship, and hands-on impact at Beveridge Elementary School. Let’s grow together as we invest in a greener, healthier future for our children and our city.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Gamma Psi Omega Chapter GenNext Committee hosted a dynamic and impactful Overcoming Testing Anxiety Workshop for parents and scholars in grades 3rd - 8th!

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist Shannon Jacobs, along with healthcare professionals Dr. Afenya Montgomery, LaMisa Marshall, and Dannon Martin Walker, shared practical strategies to help scholars recognize and manage testing anxiety empowering them to perform at their very best. 📚✨

Parents enjoyed pastries while gaining valuable tools and resources to support their child’s academic success.

Our licensed professionals visited each classroom to engage directly with scholars preparing to retest for IREAD and take the ILEARN assessment equipping them with confidence, calm, and readiness!

Scholars also received motivational goodies, including inspirational wristbands, tissue packs, mini sanitizers, erasers, motivational pencils, fidget toys, and sweet treat bags to keep them encouraged and focused!

Together, we continue to uplift and empower our youth through education, wellness, and service. 💚🌸
