We had a fun crowd - kids really enjoyed painting the gliders. Special thanks Simine Short and Cullen Ben Daniel
Another Trivia Question:
So while designing stockyards and inventing flight, Mr. Chanute also found time to design bridges!
Who can name the river over which Mr Chanute's bridge was the first to span?

Exciting news! Miller resident Simine Short will be joining us to out discuss her excellent biography about Octave Chanute this Sunday. As an "aviation researcher and historian Simine Short brings to light in colorful detail many previously overlooked facets of Chanute's professional and personal life."
Trivia question:
Everyone knows about Octave Chanute's accomplishment as the grandfather of aviation but who can tell me the Chicago landmark he designed in Chicago?
Hint:
"So from the top to bottom the place is simply a seething cauldron of jealousies and hatreds; there is no loyalty or decency anywhere about it, there is no place in it where a man counted for anything against a dollar."
