Region Voices: Impacting young lives drives Gary police Sgt. Alexander Jones Sgt. Alexander Jones has served as a patrol officer, homicide detective, traffic investigator and security detail for the mayor. His favorite role, though, is working as a school resource officer.

ELC Staff recognition and awards today. Today we recognized our staff for their impact, hard work, dedication, and uniqueness. Best Team Ever!

1st and 2nd Grade Quarter 4 awards today! Congratulations students!

Pre-k students in Ms. Powell’s class picked lettuce and carrots from our garden bins. The wonderful ELC kitchen staff then prepared a salad for them to eat during lunch time!

Today was field day for all students, PreK-Grade 2! It was hot outside but that didn’t stop us from having a great time! Students competed, collaborated, and had the “best day ever”!

Inflatable Costume race today. Staff in various grade levels- and Mrs. Espinosa- wore Inflatable costumes and raced each other to see who was fastest! The frog (AKA Ms. Kessler) won!
