Manitou Farm’s miniature horse named Mini Mouse (aka Girl Ponig) was being taken care of by a young equestrian on this glorious Fall day. She learned how to properly halter, tie up with the quick release knot, saddle and bridle her new favorite horse. Grooming is always fun but picking hooves is a new acquired skill. Leading and riding was fun and included navigating the cones in serpentines, gait changes, sitting and two-point trotting. She did excellently and loved her experience today.

Saturdays mean spending time with four-legged friends. And two-lagged friends too.

Cool weather and warm ponies. What could be better? Group grooming, serpentines, cavaletti, and lunging lesson with brothers as the teachers today. Thank you Saunders Farm for sharing your beautiful grounds!

Pumpkin decorations become food for some. Games included Dunking for Apples, Orange in Spoon Relay, and Ring Toss. What a day for such fun and smiles!

Halloween on Horseback 2023 at Saunders Farm in Garrison NY! Trick or Treat at a few homes for a quick trail/road ride. A beautiful Fall day for a fun experience. Games to follow.

Rain rain go away, but we still rode this Saturday. Lesson included learning where the Dressage letters were located, riding diagonals to change direction, 10 meter circles, and sit trot. Soaked through and cold, yet smiles and fun ruled the day.

Leona Dushin’s daughter continues her quest to be with fellow students, friends, and to help in teaching others in The Masterson Method, Integrated Equine Performance Bodywork.
