Using his Garrett AT Pro, Patryk recovered an incredible silver coin dating back to 1308! What surprised him most was that the coin is beautifully preserved, with clear details still visible after more than 700 years.
He said, “The find came from an area close to high-voltage lines, a place many detectorists would avoid, but the AT Pro handled the challenge and delivered. Proof that even after all these years, this detector still knows how to find history.

Sometimes the best permissions are right in your own backyard🙌🤩
With only a little time to hunt, Mark M. took his wife’s advice and headed into the woods behind their home with the Vortex VX9 and Viper coil. About 30 minutes in, a small but promising 65–68 signal stopped him. Just a few inches down, what first looked like a button turned into something far better. After brushing away the dirt, he was staring at an 1857 Seated Liberty Half Dime!
He said, “It’s amazing to think that a piece of history like this was hiding just beyond my back door all along. Safe to say, I’ll be heading back into those woods very soon.”

After years of success with his trusty AT Max, Troy A. picked up the VX9 and has made it his primary machine. On a recent hunt at an 1882 home, the VX9 hit a deep, repeating 75 signals. Seven inches down was his oldest silver coin yet... an 1854 Seated Liberty dime!
He writes, “The surprises didn’t stop there. A 1943-P silver war nickel also came out of the same yard that had already produced silver dimes, Indian Head pennies, tokens, and relics over the years. The VX9 is proving to be an absolute silver magnet, and if this hunt is any indication, 2026 is going to be a great year for silver.”

With frost still in the ground here in Canada, Tessha decided to test a small area of our early-1900s homestead property. Just 20 minutes into the hunt, her VX9 locked onto a clean 71 VDI. A quick check with the Garrett Carrot and out popped an incredible surprise... a U.S. Great Seal button found only 75 yards from our house!
She writes, “In just an hour and a half, I added four buttons and a 1921 Canadian cent to the pouch, but the best part was having my husband witness the whole recovery from the shop window before I ran over to show him. Not a bad way to kick off the season with frost still in the ground. Here’s to many more great finds with the VX9 in 2026!”
“The Axiom has great sensitivity that is a killer machine in any ground type.”
Mountaineer Matt came out to his first Garrett Gold Challenge event and did not disappoint. He managed to find a nice nugget in the California Motherlode!🙌
If you are on the fence about Axiom, hear what Matt has to say about it!

James H. couldn’t leave the house, so he stepped into his backyard for a few casual swings with the detector. His home is from the 1800s, so he searched this yard more times than he can count and honestly expected nothing. Then came a low 60s VDI signal… and out popped a beautiful 14k gold ring!
Just goes to show, the next great find could be hiding in the place you least expect👀
“The amount of depth the Axiom has is Incredible!”
Misha B. came out to our Garrett Gold Challenge 3 for the first time and left with some gold! This was his first time using a detector to find gold and he enjoyed learning how to use the Axiom to find nuggets
Congrats Misha👏🤩 Misha Boylan YT
